Valentine's Day

I thought this might encourage some discussion.
I am assumming that this might spark some feelings in theists that are similar to the ones atheists feel then they are told they are immoral for not-believing or engaging in certain behaviors and activities.
I do like the idea of getting rid of V-day. I can express my love for somebody any day of the year, I don't need a special day. However, this is another example of the irrationality of any radical theism. Check out the completely illogical responses by the protesters. Sounds like the God Hates Fags people.

Seriously though, they're hatred of it is based mainly off hatred of Western culture. It's not surprising.
I agree though, Valentine has been turned into another day stores try to squeeze money out of us by making emotional pleas.
Everybody knows we don't want V-day because we don't want to spend money on our girls(those of us who have one, that is).
I hope that when the world comes to an end I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to.
LOL!
Yeah...
Partly true. We also don't like it because of the expectations and the likelihood of failure. I thank God (I am not going to erase this, because this is what I started to say. Goes to show you how much of religion is instilled in our culture, language, and automatic thinking) that my girl thinks it is a farce.

Here's something I find interesting. This holliday named for a christian saint chooses Cupid, son of Venus, a pagan godess, as it's mascot. Weird.

It's hard to get rid of holidays, but it's easy to change 'em.
The christians of yore should know that.
Indeed, they were experts at it!
