Evolution and Christianity....
Okk.... so evolution has nothing to do with the origin of life. So why do Christians have such a problem with it?

because for some reason evolving from dirty, poop-slinging monkeys doesn't fill them with the same arrogant pride as being crafted in god's image. of course, since no one has ever actually seen god, who's to say that he isn't a dirty, poop-slinging monkey?

Becuase most christians (Especially those in America) don't know what evolution really is, they only know a strawman version.
And chances are the fake version is packed in with abiogenesis and the orgin of the universe.
Yeah, there's a book called "Evolution Exposed" by Roger Patterson, and in the beginning of the book he says something to the effect of "The term evolution is used in this book regarding the origins of life."
Pretty retarded.
What's worse is the people who you explain what evolution is, and they refuse to believe you.
Evolution directly contradicts the events described in Genesis, because it claims that living things had different forms in the past. Biblical creation claims that God made everything just the way it is. So really it's only a problem with fundies, but there are just way too many of those these days.
Lazy is a word we use when someone isn't doing what we want them to do.

Lol, gotcha. I've never met someone who refused to believe evolution's real definition....
I think if someone did disagree on what evolution was, I would be totally confused and just explode or something lol.
