Galaxy Zoo
I am loath to post this topic in this forum because of 'belief' influences. This is merely an announcement, theists, not open ground for obnoxious derision of science and the usage of laypeople.
In the FermiLab newsletter there was an article from the BC about 'Galaxy Zoo'

Very cool!
I scored 13 out of 15 on the initial test. I'm settling down to do my 20 or so for today.

i scored 16 out of 15
Inital test.
I did fifteen today.
I saw my first great quality face-on clockwise spiral and didn't write down the damned reference number. It was beautiful and I may never see it again. I'll probably keep going later on tonight to try to find another one. Next time I won't be so quick on the click.

You know the astronomy buff that I am I just LOVE looking at the images.
I didn't even look that deeply into the site, do you think you can go back through the images you already classified and review them?
I might go check that out now.
I just checked... nope.
Yeah you can. If you write down the reference number.
For instance, here is:

A pretty star, obscure little galaxy in the middle, bigger obscure galaxy next to it, and an edge-on galaxy in the left bottom corner of the picture. Still had to click 'Star/Don't know' but it's a pretty picture.

I just finished doing about 20 more, it is really fun!
I figured you could always look it up by reference number later if you remember to write it down. I thought maybe the site would keep a log of the ones you classified with your other account info but it does not seem that is the case.
I think they want us to go:
clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick
And I'm going:
click - oooohh - click - ahhh - click - ooooh - click - wow - click - hmmm - click - wtf? - click - ooh and then "Damn. gotta work for a while." waitwaitwaitwait - click - oooohh - click - ahhh - click - ooooh - click - wow - click

I know what you mean, I am sitting there looking at the images not just analyzing what the main portion is, but everything else in the background and to the sides.
Lots of oooh's and ahhhh's.
what the deuce is this?

Two ellipticals? It certainly does not look like merging and neither look like stars or spirals.
The gridlines point to the reddish one.
I'd still click 'star/don't know'
