How can Jews/Christians believe in a loving god when said god claims to lie to us just so he can condemn us for falling for it ?

Cudos on the quote from Thessalonians. I think we should concentrate our efforts on the New Testament when confronting christians, because so many people think the New Testament is somehow free of fucked fascist bullshit.
