American Sniper

This is a story of Chris Kyle

I'm glad I never took the path of being a Marine Corps sniper. I don't think I would have wanted to be put in this position. Do you shoot? Is it just a kid? does he have a bomb? who's on the cell phone?

I might have the basic

I might have the basic physical skills required to be a good sniper, but I don't have the mental skills and discipline. Nor do I have the will. I don't like guns in general, and snipers are the epitome of my problem with them. I despise the idea of someone picking people off while being relatively safe as they do so. Every time I play a game where people can be a sniper, and people choose to be snipers, I focus on them exclusively until they quit.

I can appreciate the skill, focus, and discipline required to be a sniper, but I have no respect for the job itself.

I had both the skill and the discipline. I also had a unique ability to ward off mosquitoes and other bugs. I think it is because I have an abnormal sweat and smell. I however didn't want to kill people. I had already started my path into buddhism and was starting to have second thoughts about being in the USMC

 I wanted to get into

I wanted to get into sniper school, but health issues caused me to be separated before I did. Life would have been very different for me if it wasn't for an incompetent naval doc. Maybe I should track him down and send him a thank you card, especially as mad as I was upon being discharged.

If, if a white man puts his arm around me voluntarily, that's brotherhood. But if you - if you hold a gun on him and make him embrace me and pretend to be friendly or brotherly toward me, then that's not brotherhood, that's hypocrisy.- Malcolm X

I used to blame the navy docs for the shit I went through, but I'm where I'm at today because of their poor decision making. I no longer lose sleep over what might or might not have been.
