Back to school!

I go back to school in about two weeks. This will be my senior year in High School. Luckily, I received the obligatory Summer injury just in time. Specifically, a sprained ankle.

It happened while my sister and I were watching the Leonid meteors. We were near a local Lutheran (pre-) school in a small field with apple trees lining the perimeter of the field. At some point, I saw some guy walking by. He stopped when he saw us and started to move towards the bushes that were near the apple trees on the east edge of the field. I was not particularly worried. I just thought it was some prankster trying to spook us for a laugh. My sister noticed that he had been standing in the bushes, watching us for awhile. She became worried and we both opted to go back home.

While walking home, we unfortunately took a wrong turn and ended up in a fenced in area. The guy had apparently followed us to the confined area and now had us boxed in. We both tried to climb the fence. I landed in a small ditched that had been concealed by some underbrush and twisted my ankle (thus the sprain). My sister could not make it over as she in not in the best physical shape. So, I told her that I would circle around and lure the guy away. That plan worked and my sister made it out and met me in a nearby lot.

We were still about 1/4 of a mile from home. The guy was still following us through the shadows and bushes, but we just walked on and kept going. We were able to walk all the way home without further issue.

I still don't know what the guy was up to and I tend to think that people are mostly good intentioned. So, I am not going to assume anything. But, damnit, my ankle hurts!

Other than that, I was able to get all of the classes that I wanted. I'm particularly looking forward to Media/News production since I was asked to cover the op-ed segment of the show. I have been doing the spot off and on for the last few years, but I officially have the spot now. Law & Justice should also be interesting. It is all to important right now to know how the law works. It should be fine.

Cheers!

Sounds like it would have been a good time to have a cell phone.

Glad you're OK and good luck in school this year!
