Central Ohio group
Gruess euch.
We have a small group of freethinkers through work here in central Ohio. I am new to this site and was attracted to it by the recent Nightline debate on television. Brian and Kelly did a marvelous job in the debate and represented the group very well.
The new Creationist Science museum is opening next week near Cincinnati, which is about two hours from us. Perhaps we'll meet some of you there?
Regards,
Fred

Hi Fred. Glad to have you here.
I'll probably skip the Creationist Science Museum as it would be exhausting to point and laugh as long as it would take to get through the whole thing.

Still haven't gone
Well, I ended up not going down this past weekend as it was my father's birthday and my parents visited for a couple days. Anyway, a couple members of our group did go and their report on the museum is that the product is every bit as laughable as it promised to be. One gentleman said it "literally destroys centuries of scientific knowledge, progress, critical thinking, and education" and that it "should be shut down for intellectual treason." There are blogs dedicated to this museum, so you can read comments pertaining to it here http://frontier.cincinnati.com/comments/threadView.asp?page=2&threadid=250 and here http://everlastinggroove.blogspot.com/2007/05/itinerary-for-creation-museums-opening.html.
So True!
"Intellectual Treason"
Aptly put.
I really like that phrase and am going to try to work it into a few posts.
