OFFICIAL TEST THREAD HERE!

Welcome to the new version of the Rational Response Squad website!  We're still testing and tweaking the site, and would like it if you would post your comments about the new site design or any errors you come across.  Post test messages here, or issues you're having with the editor, forums, etc.

Wah Wah Wah

Having problems viewing the Reply/Quote Links in topics over 20 posts long, they hide behind the advertisement at the bottom of the page.

Also, Boo for Subject title on posts... failure to put one shall "accidentally" delete anything written if you attempt to post (no memory backsave for it?)

Post cut off on the right side more then usual by right side ad bar...

(i.E user... >.>  )

Last gripe... ONLY 1 SATANIC SMILEY? WTF?!? we're atheists damn it! lets at least show it }Smiling }Smiling  <-- as you can tell, smiley malfunction also (direct copy and paste)

as you can see, only miniscule crap

Looks good.

Since ya'll are poking around in the code anyway, I'll make a small request that might save some bandwidth.

In the recent post tracker pages, the 'new' by a thread's post count is a link, with an anchor.

http://www.rationalresponders.com/Joshua_Ryan_Dellinger#new

This is fine if the new posts are on the first page. However, if the thread is multiple pages, and the newest posts aren't on the first page, clicking the link goes to the first page, then looks for the nonexistent 'new' anchor. The link should really be something like,

http://www.rationalresponders.com/Joshua_Ryan_Dellinger?page=2#new

Right now, I open the thread once to get to the first page, then click on the 'last' link to find the newest posts. If that's something easy, it'd save a lot of time/bandwidth.

This was a known problem with the old site as well.  Hopefully we can get that one resolved soon.

That's odd. I'd expect the file to be resized when it was uploaded the server. and not resized via HTML.

Ie. the final file on the server should have been the correct size.

We're working on fixing the avatar problem.  For now if anyone uploads an avatar that is too big please alert us in this thread and a high level mod or higher will delete their avatar.

Also the paypal module is broken apparently.  If you sign up for a subscription right now (or have done so in the last two days) it will not link to your account properly however we can turn it on manually.  If you want to cancel, (and sign up during this current period) you'll need to do so at paypal and not on our site.

Please keep the feedback coming!

reporting a problem to whoever runs this lame ass site...

anonymous users can see menu items that they don't have privs for.  For example "create content" which they don't need.

There is a drupal module for this issue.  Someone should tell the guy that runs this place to make a reminder note for himself.

Can anyone tell me where the "active discussions" filter went?

It's doing it in this one now. It doesn't always do it in the same ones, and it seems to be random. I remember this being a problem the last time the setup changed.

What is your screen resolution and screen size?

The site appears best with 1024 x 768.  If you get the right sidebar cut off in 800x600 it should simply cut off the google ad, not the forum post.

Did you have actual forum posts cut off?  Or just the sidebar with the ad?
