I've got 666 points! Yay!
I started a thread because if I'd replied to one I would have had 668, which is lame.

Come back when you have 666 posts, n00b.
j/k
Come to think of it, that's the first time I've been called a n00b.
"The whole conception of God is a conception derived from ancient Oriental despotisms. It is a conception quite unworthy of free men."
--Bertrand Russell
But points dont count, in this case.
What you really need is 666 POSTS.
I hit that the other day and didn't realise until I was already a few posts over. Not that the whole joking post saying "omfg proof atheists are evil" thread hasn't been done before.
Organised religion is the ultimate form of blasphemy.

I guess I've got a long way to go. I could just start shooting from the hip the way I've seen here.
What happens when you hit 777??
That didn't last long did it!!!
Angels descend and scream "KHAAAAANNN!!!"?
Seriously, I don't know if it's possible. Is it possible to get an odd number of points? But posts could get to that number.
I noticed that someone else here has 666 points, however if that person he/she were to respond to this post he/she would no longer have the 666 points. I have thought of the idea for quite some time now, what is the reason for points? Do we get a gas coupon on our next next at the pump. That might be worth it. How can a person, me for example earn an odd number of points?
No.
"Physical reality” isn’t some arbitrary demarcation. It is defined in terms of what we can systematically investigate, directly or not, by means of our senses. It is preposterous to assert that the process of systematic scientific reasoning arbitrarily excludes “non-physical explanations” because the very notion of “non-physical explanation” is contradictory.

i heard that initially the idea was that points could be redeemed but a problem comes in with the content of each post... ie one of hamby's well-researched articles is no where near worth the same four points as me answering your question... however i heard this answer a long time ago and i don't remember the full explanation so take that as you will.
I have a project in which I've given myself a goal of accomplishing before the end of the year. It's my hope to have all of our show material embedded directly in to the background of our site and available to varying levels of membership. The shows will then also be available in a store portion of our site in which people can buy individual shows. Additionally I hope to make it so that points can be turned in to purchase shows from our website. Your point total would get reduced as a result of getting the show and you'll have repeat chances to be at 666. We may even have a function that allows you to donate points to people. The goal will hopefully be complete by New Years Eve, I experienced a set back the day after I set the goal last week. You will hopefully see individual shows getting loaded to the site in this manner relatively soon and then see more uploads slowly until they are all complete and up to date by Dec 31.
I'm telling you about this goal to help myself keep on track to complete it. If there is anyone interested in helping to edit show material so that it's more concise, enjoyable, and the sound quality is up to par please send me a p.m. We have about 40 hours of unedited material to be worked on and uploaded, maybe more.

Wrongo. Look under my avatar (OK there was an error with the site at the time I was getting 1 point per post, but hey.)
Edit: not under my avatar but anyway as of now I have 16,731 points.
