It's like Blade Runner with more vegetation.

Hello boys and girls.  The Ape is in the People's Republic this week.  After a nearly sleepless 13 hour flight over (nodded off for thirty minutes at a clip here and there, but never got any REMs as I could tell) I'm experiencing mild vertigo, which isn't so bad.  I'm off to sleep in one of these couch things, because the bed's hard as a rock.  I'm totally serious about the subject line, by the way.  Lots of neon and LEDs everywhere.  It's fuckin' noisy as hell outside right now.

Travels

The ape is in Tokyo?  lucky unbeliever.   I'm here in Guyana no where near the same, I have spotted Mormen missionarys though, too bad they're out of season; love to bag me a couple before heading home.  Latincanuck, have you made it to Jersey yet?

Love to jeff

however I have work to do, and since I own my own company it's not easy to just take time off. I got centennial park in Etobicoke this week, a new Home Depot in Pickering, then Home Depot in Bolton plus 2 condos to finish off in Oakville, tons o fun. However in November I am hoping to head to Argentina for 2 weeks Sticking out tongue. Although I think I would love to head to the Guyana for some time of doing nothing but beach, beer and well...beach and beer beside that and a woman what else do I need??

That's not Tokyo! Eye-wink

Hope you have fun in LeadLand, Ape.

As far as the lights and noise go, I certainly found Tokyo to be highly stimulating...exhausting at times, even.

Have fun!

I took the kids out to eat

I took the kids out to eat earlier and there were about 6 white people, 3 black people, and like 50 asians.  I told my wife that I felt like I was in downtown Bejing.

A second day of seminars

A second day of seminars over, and off to the bar.  They close at 10:30, so I'm hoping to get in around 5 hours of solid drinking, hopefully with the hot Australian ladies at the conference.  I'll try and get some images uploaded soon to validate my Blade Runner statement.  People are riding around on bikes wearing day-glo welding masks, my eyes are burning from the pollution and they apparently randomly check people for subversive literature at the airport.

Those offworld colonies are looking really good right about now. What I'd give to see C-beams glitter off the Tanhauser Gate...

There are actually more goats over here.

OK, so check this shit out.  This really cute German girl gets up to present her seminar.  Everything's ok at first, and then her English starts failing her, she says "I'm sorry..." and collapses right on the presentation floor.  Lands right on her head.  Nice solid bounce.  She was fine, but we were totally blown away.
