ive just found this site and thought i would introduce myself,why is there a god? well wether it was the set of circumstances at the time of the big bang,or the laws of physics at the time,what ever the origin of life as we know it that is what people call god,but i dont think anyone can imagine the power involved in creation,and the wonder,and if this power was sentient i think he would have done a better job with his children, but truthfully ive tried and perhaps im thick,but i dont understand even the most basic concepts of religion,all i know is that inquiring people like the people on this site are the reason we no longer believe the sun revolves around the earth or the earth is flat,truth always wins out in the end,and i hope to meet other like minded people and have a lot of intelligent discussion,im very excited

religion is just a belief, if you havent noticed, christians belive to worship and accept "god" & jesus, as their lord and savor. people know how things are created cells, they divide, minerals, soil, you know its all so interesting, the theries people/scientist studied, i will tell you more that you want to know.

As for the religion, I don't mind when people believe in God if they want, the problem is that they believe in a small God of intellectually small people, from times when the world was big and measured in a days of a camel ride.
I see often theists defending their idea of God to atheists, using the magnificent, cosmologic, philosophic, omnipresent idea of God, and yet they always return to the small, angry god Jahweh from Old Testament.
When you don't understand religion, that's OK, there is not much to understand. (except of certain ethical laws which we can generally agree upon) It's made to be felt, and if you feel the emotions and react upon them as you're expected, then you're a good Christian, Muslim or Jew.
Beings who deserve worship don't demand it. Beings who demand worship don't deserve it.

Umm, and who can write the perfect metaphor, rant or poem etc for everyones perfect understanding? Why did a wise Buddha say fix my words, or just ignore them?
I have re-read my old past posts, and while many are an odd flavor of ironic satire, they seem pretty obvious in their meaning. My pen name, "I am god as you", should be all the clue one needs to get my style and intention at least. Yeah I'm no Mark Twain, but I enjoy messing with language and especially turning religion and their words and silly god definition inside out. "Atheist's are saved and most godly self aware !" ...... and some say WTF !
I am god as you, as all is 100% connected, therefore I am atheist, and all religion of idol worship separatism is blasphemy ! ETC ....
