Texas Freethought Convention
Here's a four-minute video of me describing the upcoming Texas Freethought Convention on October 26th in Austin.

Dood! What happened to the lip caterpillar?!
To be totally honest, I'm embarrassed to admit that I caved to frequent criticism. I'd consistently get several emails a week telling me that I was twenty years out of style. My hair and former mustache were colored of course -- I'm 49 -- so I thought I'd at least save a little money on the "Just for Men" mustache-coloring crap -- i.e., it's okay to use this stuff; it doesn't mean you're gay (as if there were something wrong with that).
I never understood this, if a man keeps himself well groomed...how the hell is that being gay? Last time I checked it involved a few things, liking men and not women, and taking it up the ass....perferably both to be gay. Anything outside of that well...isn't gay at all. Heck I get manicures, take care of myself and try to dress well when going out (I pretty much work in jeans and T-shirt all year around), and I love women, got married, have had way to many girlfriends before I got married to keep count (ok I did keep count) So I really never figured out grooming equals gay.
You bastards!
...Why can't someone host an atheist convention featuring such tasty-looking temptresses up here.
(Uh. Anyone want to trade me a plane ticket to Austin and a fake passport for... err... what've I got...
How about my nearly half-full bag of microwaved popcorn? It's even already popped and everything! )

They let go of the god concept, but the facial hair thing has yet to be cracked! *facepalms*
"Anyone can repress a woman, but you need 'dictated' scriptures to feel you're really right in repressing her. In the same way, homophobes thrive everywhere. But you must feel you've got scripture on your side to come up with the tedious 'Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve' style arguments instead of just recognising that some people are different." - Douglas Murray
