Show us your pets!!

Pets FTW!

Whether it is a feathered friend or a four legged pal some of us share time with an animal member of our family. I searched this site and can not find a thread dedicated to pets! SO...

What kind of pet do you have? Name, age, funny story...Picture!?

Okay I will start   Eye-wink

We have 2 doggies:  Max and Buddy

Max and Buddy are shelter dogs we adopted within 6 months of each other. We bought our own place and this was the first thing we did! They are now both 6 years old and spoiled rotten.

This is my favorite picture of them-

Yay pets!

This is my kitty Tesla. The pic is one year old, so she's not so kitten anymore, but still adorable. She also doesn't really fit in that basket anymore, but still stuffs herself into it for naps.

Well, no. Some are upstairs

Well, no. Some are upstairs cats and some downstairs. Not all get along with each other either. Of course you get to see one of them (Miss Callie) whenever someone posts a topic which has been done to death, and 4 of the kittens and their mother were posted in the "stray kittens" thread back in July.

Getting cats together is like herding atheists.

This is MC. Master Chief

She was a stray kitten that showed up at my door during a Halo 2 LAN party at my apartment one night and I decided to keep her.  Turns out she was from a litter that some jerk just put in a box and left on the sidewalk up the street for people to take.

I didnt realize she was female until after she was already responding to MC, otherwise I would have probably named her Cortana.

My brother and I both have a

My brother and I both have a cat from the same mother.  They grew up together so we decided not to seperate them when I moved to Cali.  I now live back home, but they still live with him. Their names are Neko and Pepsi. Yes I know what Neko means Smiling.  They are around 12 years old and still play like young kittens.

Sounds made up...

All the kittens dad is this

All the kittens dad is this huge muscular black and white tomcat with all these scars. We feed him outside. He scratched the back of my leg tonight - I was going inside and he wanted me to stay out with him. He rubs against me and rolls around near me.

Beautiful birdy.

Is the kitchen cabinet where you usually keep him Eye-wink or is was it just an explorable place?

How long do parrots typically live? I'm used to pets having half a dozen years of lifespan at best.

That's quite possibly the cutest dog I've ever seen.  Is there some CGI enhancement going on there?  Does Adobe have an "adorableness" tool?

That's funniest true statement I've heard today. You can't corral us so easily because we don't have that flocking/herding instinct that so many others seem to have. And yet here we all are in a giant group...

This is River. I had to give her away when I moved out of my apartment.

After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him.

The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.

Heheh !  Zoom   Don't have Adobe, just Corel and I don't mess with much of it... I'm very slow in learning photo stuff and usually have to have an assist from a ladyfriend or other... I just started using Photobucket with posting those two pix.

I know.... I should, shouldn't I.

And at one time I did. I've also had a dog like the one Renee has as well as a Border Collie and other mixed breed dogs when I was a kid and then a teen. I couldn't have a Dalmatian now though, as my apartment is small, so I ended up taking the *toy dog* route. Cavaliers make great companions although I would not recommend if a person is looking for a ferocious guard dog!Dog2

I'm aware he was a transcendentalist, yet the words of Henry David Thoreau are often some of my favorite writings; just to share a couple....

"The very dogs and cats incline to affection in their relation to man. It often happens that a man is more humanely related to a cat or dog than to any human being. What bond is it relates us to any animal we keep in the house but the bond of affection? In a degree, we grow to love one another."

"The very dogs that sullenly bay at the moon from farmyards in these nights, excite more heroism in our breasts than all the civil exhortations or war sermons of the age."

zOMG everyone's pets are SO

zOMG everyone's pets are SO ADORABLE.

This is Lucky. He's floppy, insane and can jump 5-6 foot fences to chase down a deer. My dad got a present for father's day in this picture and put the bow on his neck. He drools, dances, chases his tail and drives my other dog crazy.

This is Lucky laying on his favorite spot: namely, the window seat we try to fix every few months after he takes a nap on there even though he's not supposed to. He likes to do this when we're gone and then pretend the fur on the seat isn't his.

This is me and Lucy...

Lucy is the cutest, cuddliest, most adorable German Shepherd in the world. She purrs, meows and is slightly senile. You need Lucy in your life. She also likes to bark at the deer, growl at Lucky and sleep.

Wow, these pictures are from like 2 years ago....

Here's a more recent picture of the puppies...

Lucky enjoying the nice weather (he's fatter here haha)...

Lucky likes to rape my boyfriend...

This is my boyfriend's gigantic white rabbit Ocher who spends all day eating, bouncing around and acting cute...
