Greetings.

OK, this is my first post here.  I guess that I should say something about myself, so here goes:

I am fully committed to strong athiesm.  I am also a republican.  If that creeps anyone out, so be it.  If there is some kind of interview thing for new members, I expect that I will find it soon enough.

Welcome to the hizzle. I

Welcome to the hizzle. I thought you were going to be a Christard seeing your name. There are a lot of Libertarians here but you'll probably be shocked by me. I make Ralph Nader look like Rush Limbaugh.

As part of your initiation,

As part of your initiation, you are required to give pet names to your genitalia (if you have not already done so).

Lol, based on your username,

Lol, based on your username, I assumed you were going to post something promoting Young Earth Creationism.

Anyways, you'll fit in fine on this forum. Most of the mods are actually fairly moderate. I'm a moderate libertarian myself.

Welcome to RRS.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

It does not. However, that...thing in your avatar does.

"Physical reality” isn’t some arbitrary demarcation. It is defined in terms of what we can systematically investigate, directly or not, by means of our senses. It is preposterous to assert that the process of systematic scientific reasoning arbitrarily excludes “non-physical explanations” because the very notion of “non-physical explanation” is contradictory.

It was a joke. Yes, I have heard of KISS before. They are, after all, an important part of the Family Guy canon. (For those who are completely inept, that was another joke)

Ah I was expecting a christian..I can only imagine DG's disapointment at not having to explain the same things for the millionth time.

Welcome new guy..I can't think of any interview questions right now. And yes, your Republician views make me sad. Nice going.

Clever name - matches

Clever name - matches "Answers in Genesi[s]" right up to almost the last letter, the infamous fundy web-site. I too anticipated a theist when I saw the truncated name on the list of recent posts, but when I saw the full name was "Answers in Gene Si[mmons]" I was pretty sure that was a deliberate dig at that site, so probably did not belong to someone who admired that site.

Now for the third degree grilling .....

No it does not creep me out, although I don't understand it. But 7 years ago I didn't know there were such monsters(ba dum cha).

It is good for diversity, and YOU can be vocal to your party to get off personal issues such as abortion and guns, ask them to stop invoking god which should be left up to the individual.

If they would tweak their image and get with the times, there economic principles are good, limited government and low taxes. BUT combined with that coorperate responsibility and foster cooperation outside government with each of the classes.

Even Warren Buffet finds it sad that he pays less of a tax rate than his secretary.

BUT, having said that I DO feel that I am living in a time of social growth that will in the future help atheists get into the mainstreem, we even have an open atheist congressman in Pet Stark.

Colon Powel, Condaliza Rice and Allen Keys have widend the Republican umbrella. BUT BOTH parties DO need to stop using personal moral issues and god to divide the country.

I have never liked the word "first" in front of a sex or race or religion. If we are equal via our constitution then that word needs to die in our culture so we can get to the point that the actions of the person are what matters and not their personal ideology.

I was a Republican myself and an atheist. Still am a atheist though. Smiling

I know it's hard to imagine, but, there are Republicans that don't thump the bible and believe in a woman's right to choose. Eye-wink

Actually, that is one of my nits. Surveys show consistently that most people rank atheists being any other group as behind able to be American. I have to wonder how such people deal with the fact that Abraham Lincoln was an atheist. He also did most of the things that W has done recently as far as civil liberties are concerned but that is glossed over. I suspect that our republic will survive.

Come now, everyone knows that the cake is a lie. Bacon, on the other hand is meat. Meat is always good.=
