Guidance on Toys - Totally random question

My kid has just brought me another headless figurine to fix.  He's got a bunch of figurines that he keeps taking apart in order to switch around body parts and make new figurines, but it's just not working.  These toys are just not made to be taken appart and put back together.  (Example - I cannot get Edmond's head to fit onto Peter's body and vice versa. )  Other than LEGO toys, does anybody know of a figurine line(s) that are good for taking apart and reconfiguring into new figurines?

Paper dolls and scotch tape

Paper dolls and scotch tape would work!  Smiling

If you are crafty clicky

I remember growing up in the 70's and having 'real barbies' and 'imposter barbies' (aka ghetto barbies) The imposter barbies had heads that popped off, I used to switch the heads around quite often.

Well, they aren't exactly as

Well, they aren't exactly as popular as they used to be when I was a kid, but I checked Amazon and I see that they still make The Incredible Crash Dummies vehicles and figurines.

I used to play with these when I was younger. The figurines (and I think the vehicles, too) are made to break apart at the major joints. So you can put  your crash dummy guy on a motorcycle, for example, then slam him into a wall and watch him fly to pieces. Then you can simply snap him back together and do it again.

If you buy multiple, similar crash dummies, you can mix and match their body parts. It doesn't allow for a lot of creativity, like something like legos would, but it does give you the fun of assembling and disassembling an action figure.

Reviews indicate that you probably shouldn't buy them for kids TOO young, though; or you'll just end up with a toy that your kid will constantly be asking you to put back together for him.

A place common to all will be maintained by none. A religion common to all is perhaps not much different.

Ok sorry, I'm going to

Ok sorry, I'm going to actually be helpful. This doesn't fit the "figurine" criteria, but we just gave this to my 8-yr-old cousin for Christmas, and she LOVES it. My siblings and I also had a similar kids' circuit board kit when we were youngsters, and found it really fun. I'm not sure if it's appropriate for your child's age, but it's a suggestion.

Also Playmobil brand toys allow you to interchange hairstyles and accessories on figurines. Another favorite of mine when growing up.

One last suggestion is to glue toys together using a hot glue gun. My younger brother went through a brief phase during which he kept taking his toys apart and putting them back together, so my mom glued together his pirate ships and castles so that they were functional, but could not be snapped apart (creating a lot of work for the parents in trying to figure out how to get the stuff back together, as I'm sure you've experienced).

That's quite reasonable, especially considering some of the other recent threads.  Smiling

Thank you guys for your suggestions.  I had not thought of some of them as options and will keep them in mind now.  And I will try hot glue gun instead of Gorilla Glue and see if I get any better results.  Thanks again!
