Daniel Radcliff has come out of the closet as an atheist.
How about dem apples, bitches. 
Seriously, you know how many kids right now are looking up to that guy as an idol? This might well make some waves in our favor.

This is a double-edged sword, I think. The British press are on that dude like stink on shit, and if he follows the course of so many wealthy young men and gets caught in a stalled elevator at the Islington Nazi Party Headquarters with six Romanian girl scouts, a pig bladder and a quart of chloroform, it'll be people like us that get the blowback. Still, I have high hopes.

I agree that for both atheists and believers there's always the issue of public relations. No one likes to be embarrassed. Ultimately the bottom line is that no matter how well behaved or depraved adherents of either camp are it does not go to the validity of whether God / gods exist.
As a former Christian I've known many Christians who were moral and kindhearted. Their personal conduct, even though admirable, in no way validates there religious claims.
Likewise, if Sam Harris was discovered to have been carrying on a sexual relationship with a dairy cow named Elsie my views about the existence of the supernatural will remain unphased.
