Which public figure would you chose to most accurately represent your belief system???
Which public figure would you chose to most accurately represent your belief system??? This is for people of all beliefs, just something i thought would be interesting to talk about. I think for me it would probably be Sam Harris. I cant seem to find anything i can really disagree with him on, and i like his passive manerly way of discussion/debate, as opposed to lets say a Christopher Hitchens who although i find to be be more entertaining and one of the most brilliant writers/speakers of our time, is simply a little to much Hitchenish to represent me. Although i think he would fall into a close second along with many others, or better yet put into another catagory of who i would like to smoke a joint and bullshit with, that would include, Lennon, Marley, and many other people i find absolutely fascinating whos brains id love to pick.
So if you had to pick one public figure in the world to send to a debate on your behave, who you think would most accurate represent your woldview beliefs, who would that person be???

Signature ? How ?
thanks their Cane Corsos/Pitbulls. Rufus and Oakley, Oaks the one in the front i gave away to a good home after they began to become agressive towords eachother at about 4 months. When i came home to them bloody fighting over a piece of wood on the deck, and got bit trying to seperate them when they were only 40 lbs i knew one had to go. The one i kept Rufus i sitting next to me now, as he always does. He's considerably larger now haha, about 120lbs of solid muscle with a massive head. He's awesome but i wish the X pitbull didnt exist. I wanted a cane corso and the only one i could find in area was half pit. The pit in him comes out more and more everyday as he growls at men, and lunges at the end of his chain to anything he finds to be a threat. Although somewhat what i wanted, not to this degree at all. Funny how quick he goes from full body agression, to complete and utter submittance to the people he knows well. Pitbulls i learned are certainly predisposed to violence, although nurture can keep them non-violent, its in their, its just if/when the trigger is hit. I will no longer allow him around my niece even tho he seems to be fine, i couldnt live with myself i she poked his ear funny from behind and he instinctively snapped. Thanks for the reply ill be research your picks , and what exactly is a weimariner.
I currently study the public administration and I'd like to become an office keeper, perhaps even a politician. As such, my duty wouldn't be just in telling people what to not do, but what to do. It's about supporting peace, righteousness, ethical behavior and prevention of crime in our society. For example, I'd have to create an institution for correct support of homeless people or asocial Roma people. Homeless and mentally retarded people often stop me on the street, asking for money or something incomprehensible, as I'd have a halo over my head, promising them fulfilling of their hopes. So perhaps this is what I should take my salary for.

No, really. I dunno. If I find one, I'll let you know, but don't hold your breath.

I dunno. It's a toss up between *Marlin Perkins ( *Television host of Mutual Of Omaha's Wild Kingdom ) or Charles Whitman ( "disgruntled" former Marine )
I spelled it wrong,it's weimaraner and it's a dog en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weimaraner
Hitchens or another famous freethinker and Atheist, Animal from Sesame Street.
Oh, and Pat Condell. Lovely chap. <late_night_edit>
How can not believing in something that is backed up with no empirical evidence be less scientific than believing in something that not only has no empirical evidence but actually goes against the laws of the universe and in many cases actually contradicts itself? - Ricky Gervais
I guess I haven't thought much about how like public figures I am. I think I've got Hitchens' tenacity in an argument, something many people would find unattractive; I like Chomsky and others for their wealth of knowledge, but sadly, I am not as good at accumulating it.
I really like Thom Hartmann's ability to pull needed facts up from the depths of his mind whenever he needs them.
I like Bill Maher's ability to use humor to make his point, and I think that the best place to learn about what's really going on in the world is to view political cartoons.,
I hope I bear no resemblance whatsoever to Joe the Plumber.
Politically, I'm closest to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Philosophically? Not so sure.
I have a hard time choosing, but I should think Karl Gerhard best fits the bill, from what I know of him and his songs. Brilliant man. Oh, you say you don't know him? Pity; I can think of no better candidate, and the English wiki won't help you much.
