Well, he didn't get taken by God in '87 because he raised the required cash (bail money) but 2 years later his fiasco dream (City of Faith) failed anyway and the 900 foot Jesus let him live until now. He also failed to find the cure for cancer Jesus told him he would.

91 years is a long life. He must've been doing something right, I'll give him that much. Unfortunately, there'll be no pearly gates for this guy, no matter how close to god his money made him feel. You can't take it with you when you go.

My favourite memory associated with Roberts' name is when Oral Roberts University canceled a "healing crusade" in Toronto in 2003. The reason? They didn't want to risk exposing their staff and students to SARS. Oh ye of little faith...

I'm in favor of his passing. He can join two other 90 + year olds (atheists) Winston Churchill and George B.Shaw. Those sinners can out talk anyone even Moral Oral.
Irony is the total faith all religions have in their particular gods. i.e. Lightning rods on their houses of gods, insurence to cover Fire, Theft, & "acts of god"; auto insurence for their vehicles. Constant worry about money (the quest for which is the root of all evil). Why not just ask god for more money, through preyer, rather then bother their own over worked under paid flock. Like get the FLOCK OUT!!!!!
Several evangelists have schedualed appearences in the Toronto area only to cancel out. They canceled when they found out the local fire regulations would be enforced, and GTA law didn"t fool around. That means phoney wheelchair people wouldn't be allowed near the stage, only real wheelchair bound people; "faith heeling" is, equal to 'practicing medicin without a licence (a felony) any deaths from faith heeling WILL lead to homicide charges {negligence causing death} good for 10 yrs to life; not to mention the law suits - $million$$-. I might add that American city's have similar laws; now if you could get the local authoritys to enforce the ordinences we could put an end to this nonsense.
