Am I the only one endlessly delighted by the irony that 99% of the ads that pop up on this site are for religious websites?

Its been brought up before but yes. I love it. yup the irony is that it means they pay for this site. Its normally religous or some dating site. Its got to do with what gets written here apperently. If we wrote used cars im sure we would get used car sites. that said ad block ftw!

The best one was the ad for poligamist Islamic dating on the post for 'Can Islam be stopped?'

Seems to be a lot more men than women(how ironic) and the women never have a picture.
Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally voluntary society represents its ultimate success. --Mark Skousen

Ahahahahahaha!!!!
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

LOL The names are great. "Shirley??"
Shirley, you can't be Muslim.
I was chatting with this guy from Kuwait or Jordan or someplace and he was talking about how men can have many wives there. I was like "why can't women have several husbands?" He says "because women can't handle more than one man. HAHA"
=\
I said, "trust me, most of the women I've met here certainly can." Although with men who think like that, one is probably MORE than enough.
I really don't think I want to know what you were searching for.
Zoos can be sooo very educational for the youngsters. But wtf with the guy: "I don't know why he's doing that!" Um, dude, take a wild guess.
actually they do have a certain logic behind it. i know a slovak lady who once asked an arab lady why she couldn't have many husbands. the arab lady looked at her like she was six and said, "are you stupid? how would i know who my child's father is???"
"I have never felt comfortable around people who talk about their feelings for Jesus, or any other deity for that matter, because they are usually none too bright. . . . Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."

I had a conversation with my mother once about a tradition in Japan, I think, where men would sometimes have a second, younger wife married into the family to help the older one with chores and raising the children and... I guess sex with the man of the house. Husband:"Honey, feel like makin' some loooove tonight?" First wife:"No thanks. Go ask [second wife] I'm sure she's up to it."
I keep seeing the ads for stopping another bailout. I signed the petition but the ADS WON'T GO AWAY!!!
I use adblock so I don't see ads
If memory serves me... feudal japan was, 1st was the wife, the rest were concubines. The wife, by law, held some relative power within the family structure, and her offspring were first in line for the whole "priveledge, honor, duty, inheritence" thing even if the man had a child with a concubine first.
