Akinator the Web Genius!
So I found this site
And he basically guesses who you were thinking of based on your answer to questions. He is pretty damn accurate I thought of [and he knew]:
Sailor Moon [of course ]
Beyonce
Shakira
Stalin
Nelly Furtado
but I tricked him on Avril Lavigne

Holy shit!
This works!
I'm not kidding at all. I thought of Paul Atreides and answered all the questions correctly for him. Akinator guessed correctly. Some nerd programmed this very well.
EDIT: I've tried this for a few other characters. It always works. This is very well made. It guessed "Raistlin", "Jessica Atreides", "Sigurd" from Norse theology and "Hannibal Lector." I am genuinely impressed. I've tried a bunch out and it guesses correctly no matter how obscure of a character I think of.
EDIT AGAIN: I keep throwing characters at this thing. It is always right.
EDIT AGAIN AGAIN: It doesn't know "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac." I'll try a few more. It is really, really good. But, I have found one reference that it didn't know.
EDIT YET AGAIN: It does know "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac." I ansered the "Does it have black hair" question wrong the first time. That was my fault. I can't beat it. It even knows obscure Adult Swim characters. I am amazed by this.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."

I still dont believe it

Played me like a fiddle!
What Would Kharn Do?
I have kept throwing super obscure charcters at it. It even knew JC Denton. I am amazed by it. I'll stop posting my amazement at this website. I as am impressed by it as I can possibly be impressed.
EDIT: I can't even throw anime referencens at it to beat it. It guessed Akira from my responses. I love this website. Thank you Captain Pineapple.

Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
No animal shall wear clothes.
No animal shall sleep in a bed.
No animal shall drink alcohol.
No animal shall kill any other animal.
All animals are equal.
Took it two guesses but it got Bruce Campbell.
It knows Plato....
It guessed Aristotle the first time, probably because I picked the middle three options on several questions. But, it got Plato on the second try.
Edit: Oops, only read the first sentence of your post.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare
The site is amazing I won't lie. Tried a charicter from a book. Was thinking of Nakor from raymond e feists books.
First guess pug
second Elminster
third Zeddicus zu'l Zorander
Didn't get it, I had to send them the name. I feel better now. Although he was in the database already it just didn't guess it. maybe I answered a question wrong.

Easily defeated with some minor discworld characters.
Well, I beat it four times out of ten.
Velma - Yes
Stephen Hawking - yes
Rand Al'Thor - yes 28 questions
Morn Hyland - no
Jim Marshall - no
Leo Fender - yes
Jesus Christ - yes
Ben Franklin - Yes 30 questions
Hector Ruiz - no and a new character
Ken Starr - no

It even got Ren from Pirates of Dark Water.
And Captain Planet.
I tried it too.
Theism is why we can't have nice things.
Okay I tried one more time and lost. I'm done.
Impressive. It got my son. It also got my second character "Jack Bauer" from 24... however it took it a few misses... likely my fault.

No thats not impressive Brian. Whats impressive is it knows porn stars.
It's actually not that hard to come up with names that it doesn't know. The trick is to find something that other people won't think about. For example, I picked Manwe from The Silmarillion, which I just finished reading. Manwe is the Chief Valar, equivalent to Zeus or Odin, but *not* the primary god, which is Eru or Iluvatar. He's like the primary god's main henchman. So, when I played this character for Akinator, it took three tries, and its final guess was Eru/Iluvatar, but not Manwe. Interestingly, Manwe was listed, it just couldn't guess it.
Atheists
So, I've been having fun trying different famous atheists. It easily got James Randi and Derren Brown, and that's when I realized you have to pick the somewhat less-obvious choices. For example, when I tried Sam Harris, its best guess was Richard Dawkins, even though I repeatedly told it he's American and not European. Sam Harris was also listed, but just not quite 'on the top of people's minds' enough to beat out the strength of Dawkins.
So I thought, what happens if I try someone really obscure, but pretty famous amongst our little community. So, I tried Reginald Finley (The Infidel Guy). He wasn't there!
Fun Idea
So, hey, I thought, why not 'teach' it how to recognize Reggie. I'm working on it. It keeps getting distracted by the fact that Reggie used to sing way back in the day, but no longer sings. It thinks he's a singer and keeps asking questions about music. So I decided to answer those questions more with I Don't Know and Not Really, and even just No. It's still having a tough time identifying him, but I'll keep at it.
So, that brought me to this fun idea for you guys. Try to train it how to identify yourself as your online atheist persona (i.e. as someone who knew you from online atheism might try to identify you) and keep at it until it can correctly identify you.
Then, we can each try to identify the other people here on RRS. That would be pretty damn cool.
After I get Reggie in there, I'll try putting myself in.

Oh very funny natural. It took three tries to suggest that I was thinking of myself and I got a picture of a chimp. I suspect that you knew that was going to happen, having already tried it yourself.

I tried to get "Kasey Grant" to show up... no go.

Beat it with "Valentine Wolfe" but he was on the list at the end.
Okay, it takes about 6 to 10 times before it gets enough detail to identify you, although it probably won't get you in the first try. Be careful not to answer as 'yourself', but as some random person who may have heard of you but only knows of you through the internet. For example, if it asks "Does this character know you personally?", answer No or Not Really.
I've put myself in under 'Wonderist', since that's the name I use everywhere other than RRS (YouTube, Atheist/Nexus, blogs, etc.). See if you can identify me. Let us know if you get yourself put in so we can try too.

Holy fuck, it guessed Ibrham Gaunt :S
Everything makes more sense now that I've stopped believing.
Pussies.
He didn't get the Man in Black (marten broadcloak) but did get Roland Deschain of Gilead, both from stephen king's dark tower series.
My Website About Roller Coaster Design
OK, it took five runs but AnswersInGeneSimmons will come up now. I would be that this is not going to be all that easy to do though. I could not get to Wonderist because most of the questions are stuff that I just don't have an answer for.

It didnt get Alan Alda, the actor from M*A*S*H, i love that show even thpught im only 13, is that bad? hehe probably not as bad as beliving in a god. though i was there once....long time ago...
Gods are very fragile things; they can be broken with just the tinniest whiff of science or a small dose of logic...
Feel free to try and get Brian Sapient to show up or Kasey Grant to show up. I put both in. Don't think it'll be easy for either to show up though.

Actually, I also tried you earlier, after I put myself in. It kept asking me if you were associated with a mysterious organization. Wasn't sure how to answer that.

It shouldn't matter as long as you just answer what you know and then type in my name at the end, then link it up with the entry that you'll find.
The way it works, it should eventually figure out a good set of questions based on whatever people answer. As long as it can keep track of its statistics by each user identifying who they're thinking of, it will eventually ask smarter questions.
I'm going to try you out now.

Hahahahaha. Okay, the first guess for you was 'Vampire' with a picture of Nosferatu.
Next is Billie Joe Armstrong. It keeps asking me about music, and I know you play bass, so it's getting distracted by that, I guess.
Hehehehe. Next is 'Anonymous (God of the Internet)'. lol
Friggin hilarious.
There's a cool feature when you locate the person where you can click on Details (before you start a new game). It will show you all the questions you were asked, what you answered, and what it expected you to answer. Then you can see how your answers differ from the 'norm' for that character.

Second try:
1. Girugamesh Guy (?)
2. Matt Freeman
3. Anonymous
Third try:
1. Your music teacher
2. AnswersInGeneSimmons! Woo hoo!
Although I'm not sure if it's the same one you started, because it's only listed as having been played 3 times, which would be the three times I did it. Was the name you gave "AnswersInGeneSimmons" or with spaces, or what?

Too bad, it appears it's not sharing data right away between servers. I couldn't find AIGS, Kasey Grant, or Sapient's entries. Instead I had to add my own. Probably we'll have to wait 24 hours for the databases to synchronize so that our various attempts at identifying each other get merged. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Someone showed me this site about a year ago.. It even guessed a character(not even someone that's very relevant to the lore) from World of Warcraft..
Oh btw, he even guesses himself, try it..
''Black Holes result from God dividing the universe by zero.''
That's very addictive and he's very good. I tricked him with Dick Hallorann, Scatman Crothers' character from the Shining.
It also took him a few tries to get Enrico Caruso.
Stephen King seems to be a popular source. LOL
