Not sure if this has been brought up before but I thought it was an interesting viewpoint.

I'm sure it's just a different spin on old ideas but here's a group of theists which accepts evolution as fact.

Lots to explore there interested to hear ideas.

I still think god(s) are bullshit but this seems a much more reasoned response than the typical theist drivel.

rational religion?

Since John Paul II and the current pope have decided that evolution is "not incompadable " with the catholic church other religious types have become more open about science & religion has opposed to science vs. religion.

A lot of protestants and even non-christians still take their lead from the Roman pope,  but you will never hear them admit it out laud.

Yeah, they're called Catholics.

On the other side, there are creationistic posters in my city on a lecture of  "WHAT THEY DIDN'T TEACH YOU AT SCHOOL ABOUT EVOLUTION" (the O in evolution is portrayed as a trilobite) And below that, GLOBAL FLOOD.
I have no idea what a global flood has to do with evolution. Perhaps... trilobites got extinct thanks to Noe, who refused to take a couple of them on board. The fresh water of 40-day rain diluted the sea so much, that salt-loving critters died out Smiling

At least they acknowledge

At least they acknowledge science but it seems like they are still grasping at straws and doing whatever they can to maintain their belief in light of fact. Frankly I doubt science is ever going to be able to completely disprove a God concept. Christians will always be able to look at the inherent randomness in the world and say that god is directing it.
