The Gays Made Me Do It.

Pope's top adviser Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone blames gays for sex abuse scandals

THE Pope's right-hand man has blamed homosexuals for the clerical abuse scandals in the Roman Catholic Church, while denying any connection between pedophilia and priestly celibacy.

Speaking on a visit to Chile, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican Secretary of State, said: "Many psychologists and psychiatrists have demonstrated that there is no relationship between celibacy and pedophilia. But many others have demonstrated, I have been told recently, that there is a relationship between homosexuality and pedophilia. That is true. That is the problem."

His remarks drew a furious reaction from gay spokesmen yesterday. "There is no relationship between pedophilia and homosexuality," said Rolando Jimenez, the head of the Movement for the Integration and Freedom of Homosexuals in Chile.

"The Catholic Church hierarchy will at some point have to apologise for this perversion, for the sinister attitude of this Vatican gentleman. Neither Bertone nor the Vatican has the moral authority to give lessons on sexuality."

Peter Tatchell, the gay rights campaigner and spokesman for the British Protest the Pope campaign, said that Cardinal Bertone "has, in effect, blamed gay priests for the pedophile scandal".

He described the Cardinal as "a blatant distorter of the truth and an outrageous homophobe ... His vile smears against gay people bring shame and dishonour to the Church. The Vatican is trying to deflect attention from the sex crimes of Catholic clergy by blaming gay people."

Cardinal Bertone's remarks were made after another Catholic prelate was reported to have alluded to a Zionist conspiracy behind the abuse allegations.

Giacomo Babini, the retired Bishop of Grosseto in Italy, was quoted by an Italian Catholic website as complaining about a Zionist attack on the Church. He was said to have described Jews as the "natural enemies" of Catholicism. "Deep down, historically speaking, the Jews are deicides [God- killers]," he said. Mgr Babini went on to argue that Hitler had exploited German anger over the "excesses" of Jews, who in the 1930s had "throttled" the German economy. Mgr Babini, 81, denied making such a statement, though the website stands by its story.

As the storm over a leading churchman's role in covering up sex abuse gathered strength, the house where Pope Benedict XVI was born in the German town of Marktl am Inn was daubed overnight with the message "F*** yourselves" painted in foot-high blue letters.

In Malta, where the Pope will arrive this weekend for a visit, billboards publicising his trips were defaced with images related to sexual abuse.

The Vatican has tried to distance the Pope from the scandals but fresh allegations in Germany have brought them closer to his doorstep. An independent report commissioned by the Catholic Church in Bavaria said that more than 100 pupils had been "sadistically tormented and also sexually abused" at the Ettal monastery boarding school over several decades until 1990.

Pope Benedict led the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising, where the Ettal monastery is situated, between 1977 and 1982. Fifteen monks and three lay teachers are accused in the document, which was released yesterday with all names blacked out to protect the identities of alleged victims and perpetrators.

The pedophile scandals threaten to overshadow Pope Benedict's trip to Malta this weekend. He is due to visit Cyprus, Portugal and Britain this year.

The Vatican has tried to shrug off threats made in Britain to have the Pope arrested for crimes against humanity when he arrives in September. Geoffrey Robertson, a barrister, and Mark Stephens, a solicitor, are considering whether they could ask the Crown Prosecution Service to initiate criminal proceedings against the Pope, launch their own civil action or refer him to the International Criminal Court. They question whether the Holy See is a sovereign state, as it claims, and whether the Pope has diplomatic immunity.

Father Federico Lombardi, the Pope's chief spokesman, described the idea as original and bizarre. He said that it was clearly aimed at public opinion, but "I think they should look for something more serious and concrete before we can respond to it".

“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)

OK, so we are now saying

OK, so we are now saying that dudes who like to see dangly bits hanging below the poop chute is a problem because they are gay?

At this point, I don't really want to go into the whole idea that gay is somehow different from doing those with the dangly bits below the pooper. Don't get me wrong, there are probably important questions that need to be asked here. I will guess that just how hairy the dangly bits are has some bearing on what is going on here.

I would tend to assume that even though it has not made the headlines anywhere near as much, there are priests who are into hairless girls. There are also probably priests who are into livestock.

However, I am at a loss on this one. Most of what we have heard seems to about the guys who are buttfucking people with dangly bits. And this is a problems because there are guys who like that?

How about if we make this into a problem because there are guys who don't understand how to keep the zipper up?

Anyone know about the

Anyone know about the research the Vatican is claiming, or the statistical weight of priests molesting boys vs. girls?  Anecdotally it seems like more boys are getting molested than girls, so I can see how they would have anti-gay ammunition.  What is the response from the people on the pro-gay side if most of the priests are molesting boys?

Is there really a chance that some country might prosecute the Pope, or is someone just feeling their oats in an interview?

Everything makes more sense now that I've stopped believing.

So they are gay pedophiles,

So they are gay pedophiles, who didn't know that already? They seem to target boys, so much that it has oveshadowed any girls I might recall that have been molested.

People in the church are just regular people, albeit a bit weird for wanting to play the church game for a living imo. Regular people who abuse and take advantage of their "status".

Maybe there is a secret man boy love club in the church.

I still don't think any real justice will come of it. Their name is smeared badly however, but the sheep will forget overnight.

I hate it when someone speaks such unfortunate realities and is actually quite dead-on about it!

As far as I understand there is

absolutely zero evidence that sexual persuasion relates to an increase in the instance of child abuse. Gay people are into - other gay people. Not children.

In this story a prize fuckwit is pumping hot air into a lead balloon. Dawkins was right. Arrest the pope. Maybe he's not guilty but it's time parents sent a

message to the world that the well being of children is more important than some contrived fucking religion.

Boys being molested usually gets more press than girls being molested.  I recently watched a documentary on the sicko priest in Southern Cal who is now running loose in Ireland.  Of the people willing to be involved in the video, only one was male - the other three were female.  One was raped when she was five.

I've noticed this before.  Remember some years ago when a little boy was raped and then his penis cut off?  Headlines all over the world.  The SAME month, a little girl was raped and injured bad enough that she had to have surgery to put her vagina back together.  Not a word except for a small paragraph in the local press.  I am not minimizing the pain and suffering little boys feel if sexually abused by men or women.  I am upset that the same attention is not paid to little girls.

So, no, I haven't seen any statistics about boys vs girls.  I don't expect to see any.  I am not surprised that they are calling pedophiles homosexual men.  After all, it has been done before.  I am not happy about this, I am not condoning it, and I'll be damned if I can figure out a way for people to stop lying about it to themselves and others and face the facts.

Hmmmm well this senior pastor doesnt appear to be gay.

This story was in the rarely visited "weird" news section of my local papers website

  The Associated Press

. -- The Catholic Diocese of Orlando has settled a lawsuit with a woman who accused a senior pastor of ignoring her pleas about a pastor who stalked and sexually harassed her.

Wladyslaw Gorak was arrested in 2005 and charged with burglary with assault, false imprisonment, aggravated stalking and battery. He pleaded guilty in 2007 and was sentenced to four years probation and ordered to undergo counseling.

The lawsuit filed in 2006 says Gorak broke into the woman's house, overpowered her and ripped her clothes before she escaped.

The diocese agreed Thursday to pay the woman an undisclosed amount.

Spokeswoman Carol Brinati said several background checks were conducted on Gorak before his move to Florida and they had received no complaints on him.

Sex-starved hetero-sexuals

Sex-starved hetero-sexuals will fuck whatever they can get their hands on, so just calling those rapists "gay" and pretending that solves the problem is beyond pathetic.

They should really try to find a new scapegoat.

Maybe they could try blaming UFOs...

Your summary knowledge of Human Sexual Psychology is depressingly low.

(hint: pedophiles don't act/molest out of being denied affection from the similar-age opposite sex individuals... unless you watch "To Catch a Predator" - then the kiddy-diddlers are almost always stereotypes of some sort)

When I read that they blamed

When I read that they blamed gays, I jokingly thought "why don't they just blame the jews."

And then the article went over how they blamed the jews.

Holy shit, Catholic Church. Show some character and stop playing the blame game.

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."
British General Charles Napier while in India
