Hello. I'm  a Gemini  born on June 3, 1983.  (Is my FULL biography truly required for one of these things?)

I decided on my own that most "believers" were themselves so egotistical, dishonest, and near-perfect followers of the "Do as I say, not as I do" rule. I also realized that beliefs seemed to obstruct me from self-fulfillment a great deal more often then it did not, and it also appeared to discourage independent thinking. I would later learn that this wasn't an appearance so much as actual fact.

My dad (predictably) started getting really anxious when I told him what I had decided own-my-own about "God". I distinctly remember hearing something along the lines of "that's what Communists think!!!" with stepmom trying to calm him down from his angst, as per usual. This was all in 1994.

I now realize I had some unintentional help: the same person who seemed heavily propagandized against atheists/communists for as long as he's been breathing, is the very same person who warned me against the likes of Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Roy Moore, faith healers, and televangelists: again, Dad.

Sorry dude.
1) you didn't ask me in advance
2) you didn't provide exact hour, minute and city of birth. This stuff is important, including the exact minute.
3) there's the classy example of ideologic conflict again. Opposition Gemini-Saggitarius, or 3rd-9h house or both, this forum is full of people with this constellation. That's typical american problem, they were (or are) religional fanatics in their past lives and now they're antifanatics.

But holy shit, you were confronted not only religion but communism? LOL! That is gonna be interesting. You also seem to have the "finger of God" constellation. I guess it's his middle finger.

You can ask me in advance, but I don't guarantee I'll do the job any time soon. I have an exam season, after all. In any case, you still need to provide exact minute, hour and city of your birth. Day is not enough. If the minute is not precise, tell me how much approximately, plus minus.

If your mom didn't remember the exact time (sometimes they're told at the hospital and remember it) then you have to visit your registry office and write down the exact number from your birth record. The other option is visiting the hospital you were born in, they keep the records there too.

OK, Luminon, let me ask you

OK, Luminon, let me ask you a question. Of what importance is the time and location of a person's birth?

My understanding it that what you keep track of is where various planets are in respect to the fixed background stars. If that is not right then please tell me.

Given that, as an astronomer, I know what is involved in pointing my telescope at stuff. The formula that is relevant is exactly that for an isosceles triangle. The baseline that is relevant to the time of day is the diameter of the earth, which is close enough to 12*10^3 km. The nearest object of interest in Venus which is 39*10^6 km at the closest approach (which almost never happens BTW).

So the amount of “wobble” relative to the fixed background is irrelevant to the time of day or the location on the planet.

The moon could be a very slightly different case as the baseline is still the same but the distance is more on the order of 2.5*10^5 km. Still not quite enough to show much movement from one house to another over the course of a day. However, it does track across the sky over the time frame of a month. The moon will move through a single house in about 59 hours.

If you want the angular resolution of the position of the moon down to, say a tenth of that, I am fine with that much. But in that case, we are still looking at a resolution of about a quarter of a day. If you want resolution to a hundredth of the time to move through one twelfth of the sky, the we are still looking at about a half an hour.

As far as the place of birth goes, again, the resolution for the moon assuming the 1% case is about 800 km at the equator. That is equal to 1.33 times the distance from Prague to Bern.

Yes, this is part of the truth, I need exact positions of planets to background stars and to each other.

There's movement of one planet you forgot to count Smiling
As you know, Earth rotates much more quickly than it moves. The influence of Earth is the most important, it determines where in person's life are all the cosmic influences applied. It can shield them, to some degree, making them more subconscious. For example, planets below horizon are more  introverted, above horizon extraverted. Left to zenith the planets are more focused on self, right to zenith means more focused on others. And there are 12 parts of this ecliptics, called houses. They're just as important as planets and constellations.

A "house" is like astronomic sign, except it doesn't say what, but how and where. Planets and signs in houses are applied to specific areas of life, and also in a certain technique, to specific time in life. (age of the person) Furthermore, it was found out that every degree of the sky has it's astrological meaning, it's specific energy. This energy was written down in symbolic images known as Sabian symbols. Influence of the planet is further made precise by it's Sabian symbol. And it fits damn well. But it also means that every 5th minute the degrees change. So it needs a precise time, which is usually written down by nurse at obsetrician's signal.
There are of course many kinds of dividing the sky, many kinds of houses, but my dad uses mainly two, Campanus and Koch. Koch is for average Joe from the street, or children. Campanus is for intelligent people that want to work on themselves. Analogically, Koch counts the houses according to center of Earth, making the energies average for Earth. Campanus counts exact geographical position, reflecting uniqueness of the person.

Well, fair enough I guess.

Well, fair enough I guess.

What I am trying to get to here is something along the line of understanding how knowing where to point my telescope at any planet in particular matters.

Just for grins, let's work with Jupiter. It happens to be where it is and that direction does not change to any huge amount from one minute to another. In fact, if we use the background stars as our baseline, then Jupiter does not move any great amount from one week or even one month to the next. Over the span of a small number of years, Jupiter does move around a fair bit.

So in general, where where I point my telescope to find Jupiter simply does not change all that much over small time divisions.

So if it is relevant to keep track of small time divisions, then Jupiter is relevant differentially to people born a decade apart or so.

Really, I do not see where a minute to minute division of time plays a role. Perhaps you could pick a single planet and tell me how that one item can vary over the span of, let's say, half an hour?

It seems you did not understand me at all.
The sky of Earth as it rotates is divided into 12 areas of astrologic significance. All planets exchange through each of them during 24 hours. Theoretically, every planet changes a house every 2 hours, but in practice houses may be much shorter or longer than that. So planets run fast on the sky and change their meaning thanks to Earth's rotation, not only by their own speed.

For example, let's take Pluto. It's VERY slow planet, but it doesn't matter at all. Let's say that at 10:00 hours, relatively to a particular geographic position, Pluto is in the area of 3rd house, below horizon. But a few minutes later, depending on position of Pluto and size of houses, Pluto may be in 4th house, because Earth turns.

If Pluto would be in 3rd house, the person born there must exercise his willpower to learn the truth about the world, about what is true and false in sciences and philosophies, or where is the truth in investigation of a crime. He must not allow anyone impose their theories on him against his will, but should learn to expose true nature of things.

Pluto in 4th house also means the exercise of willpower. But it's the willpower necessary to discover one's feelings, sexuality, genetic heritage, and deep emotions that may be suppressed. Such a person must use the willpower to find out what he really wants and is, in the subconsciousness. Such a person must practically transform and re-invent himself. It's my constellation, btw.

And then there is actual star sign in which the planet is, which makes the above mentioned even more specific, the method of how to work in that area, using Pluto's willpower archetype.

Well Luminon, I did take the rotation of the earth into account. The baseline of 12*10^3 km is the diameter of the earth. Or at least that is close enough for the question which I am asking.

In any case, planets simply do not move around in the sky the way that you say. Let me take the sun as the example here. Sure, it moves through the whole sky every day. However, it does not move relative to the fixed background. This is why there is such a concept as a “sun sign”

When I was born, the sun was in Gemini. For someone who was born an hour later, a day later or a week later, the sun was in Gemini. So you should be able to tell me relevant data about me just from that one fact. This data will be true identically for the dude who was born an hour later in a different part of the world.

It almost looks like you're kidding me and you only write this to get Kapkao angry. All rigt, why not, let's play until he provides his exact birth time.

In horoscope there are signs. Then planets. And then houses. Signs don't move. Planets move slowly. But houses move very, very quickly, because they change with Earth's rotation and tilt of axis. They are also different for a person or day side or night side. Houses are the final influence that focus the planets in signs on a particular area of your life.

It's nice to know that you have Sun in Gemini. But Sun in Gemini in 6th house is different to Sun in Gemini in 7th house. That can change in half an hour.
Furthermore, aspects of other planets towards fast planets can change quickly. Aspects are precise thing.
And finally, every measurable degree of a fixed star sign has it's own little symbolic sign, and perhaps the most important is the degree that is exactly on the east horizon. (degree of ascendant) It changes every 5 minutes.

According to my software ZET 9 the Sun is well 12 degrees into the Gemini sign, on 3rd june. And I've never seen such an erratic Taurus personality Smiling
But a true astrologer would understand that better. I don't know if this software runs astronomically precisely, or if we're here dealing with ancient egregore of tropical zodiac, that interprets the stellar influences.

Well, according to my software, stellarium, the Sun is at 4:45ra at noon on 6/3.

Odd, I had you figured for doing an Asian based chart. I guess that you do not mind using wrong information then.

Odd, I had you figured for doing an Asian based chart. I guess that you do not mind using wrong information then.

You mean siderical and tropical zodiac?I get the idea that professional astrologers hate tropical zodiac because it's incorrect, and yet they like it, because it works.

Because, tropical zodiac is a convention, a thought system. These systems take a life of their own, and this one influences whole european-type civilization. That's called egregore, and egregores are pretty possesive. I don't know for sure if that's the case and I get the idea that explaining this to me would take a lecture. And I guess my dad will write about it in some of his books, or already wrote.

For now, I'm glad that my horoscope in my software fits on me. Siderical zodiac definitely doesn't fit. This big stelium in Capricorn isn't the same as it would be in Saggitarius.

I still want to know your opinion of Aether, btw...

And I want to know the city of your birth. My answer is on your e-mail. But as you will see, my opinion on aether is very large and complex, ask questions if anything is unclear.

I swear to........ ME... you better not be trying to steal my identity.

(no, I don't have the "stupid hick" accent common in Rural America, just an FYI to everyone else.)

“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)

Hello Kap. I identified need

Hello Kap. I identified need some possible problematic areas in your life and to further determine them, I need some questions answered. If you don't feel like answering these here, send me an e-mail.

Tell me, what do you think and do about spirituality. Do you do any introspection, alone, thinking, concentrating, contemplating? How do you feel about these activities?

How do you imagine having fun?

How do you appear to people? Do you wear any unbeliever and pro-science t-shirts or irritate them in such a way?

How do you make your living and get money from? I somehow doubt it's an ordinary 9-5 job. And I somehow doubt it's comforting for you.

How are you getting along with friends? How do you imagine a friendship?

Beings who deserve worship don't demand it. Beings who demand worship don't deserve it.
