All economic issues aside,

All economic issues aside, this alone is enough that anyone should should fear a Romney presidency. But even this affects the economy. If you dump an unwanted pregnancy on a poor woman, or even a woman who could afford an abortion, you set that woman up to be both emotionally and or financially unprepared for dealing with that life, so by forcing that woman to have that kid whatever problems that kid has outside the home will be OUR responsibility as well.

The GOP is owned by SUPER PAC  money who uses social issues to drive a wedge between middle class and working poor voters.

Women reading this, GET OUT AND VOTE TOMOROW!

lol, even if Romney wanted to there is nothing he could do about abortion. Although, Romney's record is that he is pro-choice and only adopted a pro-life stance when he decided to seek the republican nomination, abortion is one of those issues he has been less than honest about. Abortion is such a non-issue anyone who decides their vote based on it is a complete imbecile. However, if you insist on choosing your vote on such an inane and pointless issue I would recommend Gary Johnson who is pro-choice so you can vote on your pet issue without voting for the failure in chief.

HA, we have a split court and all it would take is one or two retirments and a Romney appointment and boom by by to Roe v Wade. You really want to think there is no attack on womens rights? My former home state VA put legistation out last year on unessary forced sonograms. Fortunately after public uproar it got dumped. That kind of right wing crap is going on in many states and is coordinated by the party, they do reside in one building and do talk to each other.

The rethuglican party will if given enough power severly hurt the rights of women to have control over their own bodies.Only an imbicile would consider women's rights unimportant.

Wow, seriously Beyond. I value your passion for teaming up with a sinking ship, but this takes the cake and is bat shit insane.

What a douche bag. Absolute douche bag. He is a worthless person. He's taking up too much air and he should be taxed for all that hot air he is putting out. He's probably the sole reason for global warming.

Even if Roe vs. Wade were repealed (which is highly unlikely) that does not make abortion illegal. At most it allows states to decide for themselves. The Court has been very clear that the federal government has no authority on the issue. Like I said, you are ignorant. I suggest you read the opinion of Roe vs. Wade. And yes, I am 100% pro-choice, I don't think it is any of the governments business to either pay for it or outlaw it, but the reality is that the freedom to have an abortion is not at risk outside of bible thumper states in the unlikely event the Roe v. Wade is overturned (which will never happen).

Now before you respond, do not make this out to be a label issue, I am only using this as an example.

"That wont happen" is exactly the mindset that lends comfort and aid to those with such disigns through the ignorance of apathy. To keep any form of fascism at bay it isn't a matter of likelyhood, because conditions change long term. It is a matter of ALWAYS keeping an eye on it.

When you see where this country was before abortion becoming legal, and way before that became a Supreme Court case, other issues during our history, and prior history to the colonies made the abortion issue small potatos to the religious tyrany rampant in the dark ages.

Now this is NOT a label issue. This is a knowlege of humans desire for power and what apathy can and does when  a populous takes conditions for granted instead of caring for it. In theory it is highly unlikely, but that is only because right now there are still enough voices drownding out the bullshit theocratic attempts. But if unregulated abortions existed before and there are those with money and power now who HAVE made coordinated attempts to attack reproductive rights, I am not going to assume it is merely talk.

I am going to assume my rights are always under attack, not out of conspiracy, but out of the pragmatic nessessity to know that life is never static and can and does change and not everyone arround me agrees with me.

For someone who fears my "agenda" you'd be a fool to say "Brian37 will never get what he wants". And since I fear yours too, the right thing for a pluralistic society to do is never to take a damned thing for granted. The best we can accheave in any pragmatic sense is a system like we have, but that is not dependent on my way or the highway, but consent via viggilence and a protection of dissent.

"That will never happen" yea Jews thought that too when Hitler formed his first political club when he was a small fry. I do not trust the right wing. There are still far to many people including Ryan who support banning abortion outright. It was illegal before and with enough money and marketing on their part, without an equal counterpart to stop them, I will not put it past them to acheave that goal.

 When the government

When the government becomes everyone's sole provider for everything, this would basically end any male choice in sex/mate selection. We would become a society of 100% female choice in these matters. If high earning males can be stripped of their wealth and income, they are no longer choosers, but only hope that horny fat chick will have them once in a while. So it's no wonder there  is a huge gender gap.

Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally voluntary society represents its ultimate success. --Mark Skousen
