The Rational Response Squad is a group of atheist activists who impact society by changing the way we view god belief. This site is a haven for those who are pushing back against the norm, and a place for believers of gods to have their beliefs exposed as false should they want to try their hand at confronting us. I saw this video a while ago, but it still makes me laugh my ass off.
I saw a documentary about faith healers several years ago (it was actually through this doc that I learned about the placebo effect) that made me realize what a world class douchebag Benny Hinn is.
You can't rationally argue out something that was not rationally argued in.
When I was a fundie years ago I used to buy into all this bullshit. But then after a while I began to wonder why Benny Hinn didn't heal people with Cerebral Palsy or People who were amputee's. I mean surely if he is given to ability to take away back pain and migranes he can heal cerebral palsy. But alas he cannot and I almost want to physically assault anyone who think's this guy is legit.

I want to get paid to shove old people.
In the documentary that I mentioned previously, one of the key parts followed a family of Indian immigrants. They had a son who was severely physically and mentally handicapped. I don't remember what his exact condition was, but suffice it to say it was very, very severe. They contacted Benny Hinn's people about getting him healed. They said that Benny could only heal him if they sent him a certain amount of money each month. I don't remember the exact amount, but I believe that it was in the neighborhood of $1,000/month. This was NOT a wealthy family, just a regular middle class family without a whole lot of money to spare. After making them wait for months and months, Benny Hinn agreed to see them at one of his shows. He did his healing thing on the kid...who died several months later. Were the parents pissed? Of course not, in fact, they continued to send him they're monthly payment so he could continue doing his "work".
They also did short pieces on several other people who were "healed" at the same show. After talking to the people and their doctors several weeks later, they healings were revealed as anything BUT miraculous. My favorite (or, rather, least favorite) was man was nearly disabled because of lower back problems. He required the use of crutches, so Hinn had the many drop his crutches and couch down to the ground several times, which should have been impossible due to excruciating pain. The attributed this to the placebo effect, because crouching down in that way actually injured him further and caused him to be wheelchair bound, possibly for the rest of his life.
Benny Hinn is the worst kind of asshole. He is a very, very rich man not because of giving people false hope...but because of giving them false hope and in some cases injuring them and further ruining their lives.
A man of god indeed.

looks like he's using the force ^^
If I could do this stuff AND sleep at night, I would love it. The adults deserve whatever they get. I feel bad for the kids.
PS. Why does the presence of God make men air hump like a dog?

It boggles the mind that there are many religious people that know this stuff is bullshit, and yet believe the miracles in the New Testament actually happened, as if they are somehow more credible.
Do You Worship an Evil God?
As much of an asshole as this man is, he has given me some pretty fond memories. I treasure all the mornings I shared with my older brother, when we would wake up early and sit in the living room, eating Lucky Charms and laughing at the complete stupidity of Benny Hinn. Even as kids, my brothers and I found his charade ludicrous.
To this day, we will still comically slap each other on the forehead and yell TOUCH!!!!
The only good thing Benny Hinn has given the world is laughter.
A place common to all will be maintained by none. A religion common to all is perhaps not much different.
Kind of reminds me of this video, except that this one has a much more satisfying ending -- The fraudulent asshole quite literally gets his ass kicked in the end:
