If we ever needed the nail in the coffin that Christianity is nothing more than a scam to keep congregations and thus keep power... I think this is it. Churches using the recruiting and lifestyle take-over tactics of Scientology to keep people in line with their core fairy-tale.

I wish I could come up with a better retort at the moment but I'm still siphoning my brain off the floor from where this melted it out of my ears.
