this show is just brilliant. I laughed so hard during the Bullshit episode on the Bible.
I just watched a bit of the Bullshit episode of creationism and am a bit troubled by the logic that the creationist’s aka the supporters of the intelligent design "theory" use. Basically they have two arguments (1) The world looks designed, therefore God of the Bible created it in 6 days. (2) "Our kids should have the option between Evolution and Creationism." I think we all know the problem with argument #1. But its extremely frustrating to hear them put forth argument #2, because its not like they actually want their children to consider evolution, they've already taught their kids from a young age that Creationism is the "true" beginning of this world. And I don't understand why they stop at those two options. If they were sincere about this argument, should they not be pushing all creation stories, to be taught in the science classroom? Who wants to start a campaign with me to have the First Nations of North America creation story of the Raven creating the world put into our science classrooms across the U.S.? I find them so ignorant. If you want to teach your children about the Bible, that is really your choice, you have your Sunday school; just stop trying to push this absolute crap into the school system. You’ve already filled your children with lies, no need to have other children filled with the same lie.
That's basically what the Church of the FSM is doing. He (the writer of the inspired gospels of the FSM) has sent letters to various school systems where ID is being pushed insisting that they also teach about the FSM's version of creation.

What is FSM?
The idea that we should offer our children ID "theory" as an acceptable alternative to evolution to avoid offending one's faith is no more appropriate than allowing them (our kids) to pick and choose between entirely different and fully contrived versions of history for the same reason.
Imagine teaching German school kids the Holocaust was a happy-go-lucky festival held by Nazis to honor contributions Jews, Gypsies, and scholars made to German culture.
I like how they put "Actual Footage" on the video clips from those black and white films. Funny.

This is the FSM. I recommend starting at the open letter which is how this became public knowledge, as opposed to the few descendants of pirates and his true chosen people. He opens his noodly appendages to us all though, and will reward us in heaven which contains a beer volcano and stripper factory. Yarr.
Iruka Naminori is a much more faithful believer than I as you can tell by their avatar, but the website is well worth a read and eager study.
