I love in the intro when

I love in the intro when Penn asks for the creationist's argument, and Teller smacks him in the face with the bible.

They need to do a part 2 and go after the creation museum.

There is some irrationality

There is some irrationality on their part - they support the pro-smoking lobby.

I have to admit that I've

I have to admit that I've never heard them speak about the pro-smoking lobby, but I'm assuming it goes back to the emphasis they place on the importance of personal sovereignty and the freedom to make your own choices.  It sort of falls in line with their issue with prositution and drugs (especially weed) being illegal.  If you want to smoke your life away, then that should be your decision.  They lose me in this argument once they get to areas where your personal choices negatively impact those around you.  To their credit, they took back their comments on the harmlessness of second hand smoke and changed their position.

The "crapinist" episode

The "crapinist" episode really scares the shit out of me. But at the same time, gives me hope that there are common sense believers and atheists alike that understand that this is nothing more than Christians trying to force Christianity on our youth through public schools.

Scientific method goes where ever the answer leads, not where we want it to go.

In that episode they implied falsely that they were being objective, 'Show both sides".

Well, lets assume for a second that it was not a Christian propaganda machine driving ID or Crapinism. But lets assume for pretend's sake, that they really didnt care weither or not it lead to Jesus and that they were merely saying that "a who" did it.

What if we did discover a "who" but it wasnt the "who" of Jesus. What if it was the "who" of Allah, or Yahwey, or maybe our creator were "rialians" as Penn and Teller mentioned.

Here are the simple facts that theists dont want to face.

Scientific method is a process, not a form of government. Sceintific method doesnt prop up absurdities of ancient myth.

If people would rightly reject any claim that cell division is the cause of Thor or Allah or Isis, what makes them think that real scientists would lend crediance to Jesus just because someone claimed his dad did it?

Could it be that these people baught into a club and are too proud to accept when they are wrong?

Whatever you believe this issue is not about human rights. This issue is about protecting the very universal tools that anyone of any label believer or not, to use to measure and learn about the world around us.

"God did it" is not an excuse or explination.

Why? Because someone else can come along and say

"Allah did it"

"Yahwey did it"

"Vishnu did it"

We are a constitutional republic based on a system of checks and balances where the voter guides, but no one branch, can monopolize the other.

When we think of brances of government we dont include the voter. We often teach "Executive, Legislative and Judicial".

But when we say "one branch cannot monopolize the others and is subject to review, we often exlude the voter and hear the clechi "majority rules".

What does this have to do with this episode? Unfortunatly in Ga far too many people are uneducated in science and spend way too much time regurgitating what the preacher says on sunday. They may vote to put ID in school, but nobody is fooled by the real agenda, and that is to subject all non-Christians of all labels to thir god.
