If the news media doesn't notice, it didn't happen...down the memory hole!  There have been huge protests. The news media barely covers them and usually under-reports the numbers of people involved.

You are absolutely right Iruka. The large media corporations will ignore (and have ignored) any large protest as best they can. 

 Personally, I think people need to talk to other people. We can't rely on a talking head in a box to tell us what we need to hear. While this might sound idealistic, it might be one of the few ways we have left to change things.

Who decided that torturing religious fanatics was a good way to fight terrorism???

OT: I like your sea lion. He's a cutie. I took this pic of a sea lion back in May. (Very big picture, so I didn't actually post it on this page.) I took a bunch of pictures of the sea lions on the breakwater and later found one that appeared to have been attacked by a great white shark:

A couple of years ago, I watched this orca kill and eat a sea lion:

In the second picture, he's actually eating it...can't see though. I didn't have a very good camera at the time.

But if you want to get clear, close-up pictures of exotic wildlife like me, you have to go to the zoo.  LoL
