Love that book. It is a must
Love that book. It is a must read for anyone who values checks and balances to government. Unfortunately some think the private sector cannot be as Orwellian as government.
Two legs good, four legs bad. SAME MENTALITY. Orwell WAS addressing the oppression of too much government, but to say that the private sector cannot be as oppressive is just as absurd. Ask any person lucky enough to escape the sweat shops of India and China.
THE MESSAGE to be taken from it is absolute power corrupts and to me it does not matter if it is the private sector or government who is trying to attempt a monopoly.
