Translation:
The "witchchildren" of Nigeria
More and more children in Africa are accused of sorcery by clerics - and agonized or killed. According to UNICEF tens of thousands are affected. 13 churches are known to authorities, some of them are splinter groups of international congregations of faith.
Eket - Nwanaoko lays emaciated on his hospital bed, the blind eyes turned away. A pastor had accused the 9 year old of witchcraft, his father had wanted to instilled him acid for exorcism and cauterized his face and eyes thereby. Totally exhausted the boy could just tell the name of the church whisperingly, that stigmatized him as a warlock. One month later he was dead.
As Nwanaoko more and more children in Africa are accused of witchcraft and then - often by their own relatives - agonized or killed. In half of the 200 cases of "witchchildren", that the AP followed, pastors took their hands within.
Fear the Big Pink Bunny!
Submitted by GermanMike on October 5, 2008 - 12:41pm.
I had a vision last night! The Big Pink Bunny will come to lacerate all Christian believers. Turn from your faith as long as there is still time, because the wrath of the Big Pink Bunny will be horrible.
Of course you might laugh at this Big Pink Bunny, but it told me in my dreams that there will come scoffers and mockers who will laugh into the face of his prophet.
Fear the Big Pink Bunny!!!
(Disclaimer: I don't hate Christians - The Big Pink Bunny does.)

Friendship with Ray Comfort
Submitted by GermanMike on September 15, 2008 - 3:55pm.Who is friend with Ray Comfort does not need enemies anymore:
http://raycomfortfood.blogspot.com/2008/09/nothing-serious.html
I mean I could believe what ever I want about my friends afterlife - even if I would believe that they were absolutely cheerfully playing around in a paradise garden I would still mourn and miss them.
Either Ray Comforts definition of Friendship is an extremely loose one or he just proved that Christianity is the shortest way to sociopathy.
Why am I moral

What Christian Radio is really about:
Submitted by GermanMike on August 8, 2008 - 9:26am.Some of you people might know that I have a blog called "Christian Radio Review" (http://christianrr.blogspot.com) which has of course an e-mail adress for any comments or ideas about this blog.
Today I found an interesting e-mail in the SPAM folder of this e-mail adress which is very enlightening about what Christian Radio seems to be really about. (It gave me a good laughter)
Memento mori, John McCain!
Submitted by GermanMike on July 31, 2008 - 7:39pm.If you think about the former leaders of the Soviet Union, who comes to mind?
Lenin? Stalin? Khrushchev? Brezhnev? Gorbachev?
If you believe that this list is chronologically complete you've forgotten two that are necessary to understand the fall of the Soviet Union:
Yuri Andropov and Konstantin Chernenko
That is because Yuri Andropov was just 15 months in power and Chernenko just 13 months. They didn't get killed by anyone or removed by force from their office. They simply died of old age while being in office. This at the beginning of the 80s of the last century augmented the problems the Russian economy was already experiencing and gave in the end way for the reformer Gorbachev to become head of the USSR, with all the consequences to that country that we now find written in the books of history.
The decline of the Soviet Empire isn't understandable without also looking at this era of political turmoil at the top of the Soviet state.
Andropov was 68 when he got into office and Chernenko 72 - Just as John McCain will be of age when he gets into office if he is elected President of the United states.
Just in some fairness: Andropov and Chernenko were already sick when they got into office. But anyone should also know that the workload and the stress that comes with leading a superpower isn't healthy for an old man.
Christian Radio Host hangs up to his guest
Submitted by GermanMike on July 30, 2008 - 8:13pm.I have a blog in which I engage with Christian Talk Radio. Since I listened a lot to The Way of the Master program (not as much anymore) and almost daily to the Albert Mohler Program.
I guess almost everyone of you know the infamous Atheists Nightmare. The Way of the Master radio program is co-hosted by the guy who came up with it. Doctor Albert Mohler (I guess he holds his doctor in theology) is the president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and as such not any less Christian and not any less conservative then Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron and Todd Friel but a whole lot more sophisticated in his approach.
On Tuesday they had something that started out as quite an interesting debate on the Albert Mohler program, between the host who was sitting in for Doctor Mohler and an historian called Dagmar Herzog. She researches the history of sexuality in the 20th century. Which seems like an interesting field of expertise for a Christian.
What really surprised me was the she got hung up to on this Christian Radio Show. And therefore I wrote a blog-article on my Christian Radio Review website.
You can find it over here:

New Blog Entries
Submitted by GermanMike on April 6, 2008 - 4:26pm.Hello,
I've posted to new blog-entries. The first is about homeschooling and the second about parenting.
The most recent article: WOTMR: Spanking Authorities
is about modern parenting. On his program Todd Friel defended the spanking and slapping of children as means of parenting. I disagreed with him on that. As I said in one of my earlier entries that teachers and parents need to be authorities to their children I had to harmonise those with my refusal to accept spanking.
"Therefor spanking authorities are most of all spanking their own authority."
The second oldest article AMP: Good Luck! deals with the Albert Mohler program.
I'm always proud when I realize that the shows I'm writing about are reading my blog. And obviously Dr. Mohler did. In the last article I pointed out that the Christian Right shares its passion for homeschooling with the far left. But it shares it for different reasons. So last week on his program Dr. Mohler said that he sees very new political alliances coming.
I felt the need to point out that those alliances won't certainly come and to ridicule Comrade Mohler a bit for his suggestion.
