Hey aren't we all Jesus??
I mean Jesus is just supposed to be the flesh that God created on the earth (Some sects believe that Jesus is just flesh I.E. only the son of God not actually God himself) to die for mankind's sins and what not. But since all of us were supposedly created by god . . . and we're flesh on the earth aren't we exactly the same beings as Jesus is? So this means that we're either all our own Personal Jesus (Haha Depeche Mode Song) or (As is the more likely case) Jesus was just a normal guy.

Jesus is a character designed by several authors. A bit like Batman. You can pick and choose which version appeals to you best.
Personally I don't like any of them. The 60s "camp crusader" version or the current fundie "don't fuck with this guy, he's worse than the baddies if he's riled" version are equally irritating in my view, and equally immature. Or maybe I just grew out of it - who needs to model themselves on a one dimensional comic book hero who alternates between stating the bleeding obvious and anal retentive gibberish?
There have been better fictional godly characters invented - Hawkeye in M*A*S*H, for example.

Huge differences.
1. No one has to allege that I exist.
2. No one has to follow my words or be damned to an eternal hell.
3. I don't have to curse pigs or trees to prove how bad of an individual I can be.
4. I'm not planning ahead of time to get crucified.
5. I get laid often.
6. You won't catch half-nked boys running out of my room when the authorities come.
7. My mom definitely was not a virgin, no matter how much she tried to lie to Grandma.
8. When someone writes a book about me and my life, it wil be WAYYYYY more exciting. It also won't require at least a 39 book introduction.
9. If I'm killed, people are going to be able to hear and repeat my last words accurately.
10. 2,000 years from now, people aren't going to care what I served a crowd for lunch.

Deity belief throughout human history is a result of our base evolutionary trait to avoid our own mortality. All dna in all life evolves to replicate into the next generation.
In humans, our fight or flight mechinism has the side effect of allowing emagination to comfort us in times of stress when facts are lacking. Deity belief is nothing but a placebo. Humans self centeredly project human qualities on non-human things as a gap answer. It is our species ignorance as to it's own mortality in a self centered attempt to escape it.
In early humans, volcanos, hurricanes and earthquakes were worshiped as angry beings. As society evolved gods went from being earthy to more human. Monotheism is merely a newer and more popular form of delusion.
Humans have not learned on a mass scale that they are merely mistaking a natural biological process for a magical source. Our species will not be around as long as others, barring a cosmic disaster. Cockroaches are better at adapting and multiplying and will out live the human species.
To think that humans are special is absurd. We are advanced with our brains, but that doesn't translate to longevity, especially when tribalistic cults such as political and religious gangs seek self distruction over an egosentric self centered utopia.
We group together because we are social animals and there is no magic or superstion or artifical flag or border or religion that explains that.
As soon as we recognize that we are all individuals and that although groups do have a social benifit, it doesn't have to be exclusionary or magical.
What is the meaning of life? To pass our genes onto the next generation. Morals are not set by an artifical label from a god or a government, morals are evolutionary trait of the species that can be seen in all cultures dispite geopolitical or religious whims.
We see helping handicap as good. We see feeding our children as good. We see rescuing someone in a disaster or crash as good. Hospitals exist in every country in the world. If morals were handed down to us magically, it would stand to reason that those outside the "chosen people" would be mass murdering genocidal mainacs. What we do see is that outside fundies and governments, when looking only at individuals, we all behaive in the same manor outside pet issues that divide us.
God(s) dieties/supernatural, are all utterances of ignorance as an inmature gap answer left over from delusional side effect of human evolution.

Yes. One only needs to look at the craters on the moon to see that thousands of rocks are flying at us. The only reason we can't see many craters on the earth is because erosion has made them disappear.
A huge asteroid hasn't hit the earth in millions of years. But you better believe that there is a monster out there with our name on it. It's only a matter of time before our species' luck will run out and neither Superman nor Jesus will save us from it.
Humanity existence is a short one. So have a beer, watch the game, and enjoy your stay.
