Welcome to the forums.  As you may have noticed, you are free to post anywhere on the site with the exception of Freethinking Anonymous (which you can still read).

If you'd like to discuss your faith, the Atheist vs. Theist forum or the Kill 'Em with Kindness forum might be a good forum to visit.

Welcome and enjoy.

Keep in mind, there's a lot of tongue-in-cheek mischeivous irony that goes on here. Don't take it personally.

Hey dude. Pull up a chair and grab a cold one.

God isn't real, btw. Eye-wink

"Natasha has just come up to the window from the courtyard and opened it wider so that the air may enter more freely into my room. I can see the bright green strip of grass beneath the wall, and the clear blue sky above the wall, and sunlight everywhere. Life is beautiful. Let the future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression and violence, and enjoy it to the full."

See? I told you!

Of course, I guess that wasn't irony. Ah well.

Welcome to the forum!

I hope you enjoy your stay.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

Welcome. Just a couple of questions... How sure are you of God's existence? Why do you believe?

I'm a Christian in the fullest sense of the word. If you understand Christian theology, which I think is safe to assume here, you know what I mean - (Christ as Messiah, Christ as risen from the dead, Christ as personal savior). I'm not a new Christian. I'm not a confused Christian. I'm not trying to be obtuse. I just don't want my introductory thread to become a debate. This will happen in due time. I'm not shy about debate, comment, discussion, defense or offense.

Btw - I do believe in an old earth, this fact always seems to help since I also partake in scientific discussions.

Again, thanks to all for the welcomes.

Look forward to the debate.

Welcome to the site from Norway (aka - "the Devil's Own Land" ). Here we don't get all worked up that much about religion. In fact we don't get worked up about much at all - except little things like human injustice, world poverty, war, human trafficking, exploitation, class hatred, sectarianism, official corruption and so on. We're funny that way.

Oh - and we don't do irony either. I do, because I'm Irish, but that's another story.

I would rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

 Welcome to the forums

Welcome to the forums OrdinaryClay. I look forward to future discussions on your views. I'm an ex-Christian that had much religious education.
