I post all over the web, but I want a back up in case my computer or one particular website goes down.
I have decided to edit this post because I do not like giving people the wrong impression. I cannot read Shakespeare to save my life. I just remember this one line from act 5 scene 5 and put my own spin on it. I've had to explain this over and over so here I decided to put that in this post so there is no more presuming what I know or don't know. But the plot of MacBeth is the old lesson, you can have everything and nothing at all at the same time. And how did all that cruelty serve you in the end? But I do not like play summeries calling him a Nihisist, because it is possible to not do what he did, and accept life as being finite, and sitll have morals without religion.
NEW EDIT 9/19/22 I got pissed at myself that I was scared to read MacBeth, so tonight, I forced myself to read it online. Now mind you, I did not understand it line for line, but basically Macbeth was an assdhole who murdered his way to the top, and did not believe the 3 witches prophcies. He murdered Duncan and had Banquo murdered. Banquo's ghost haunts Macbeth. And made the grave mistake of attacking McDuff's family and killing them(If I am reading this correctly) But Lady MacBeth has a guilty conscience and kills herself, upon finding out Macbeth basically says that life is not worth living and he should go down with a fight anyway, but refuses to fight Macduff face to face and Macduff kills him as the hero. ( I SERIOUSLY read the entire play every line, tonight. I even know where the famous line "double double, toil and trouble". comes from. The three witches, basically saying "look out Macbeth" your ass is in trouble.
So basically the moral of the play, don't be a fucking asshole when trying to get to the top, or "the bigger they are the harder they fall". Reminds me of the movie Scarface and all the shitty things Tony did to get to the top and all for not. But Sosa in that case was not a good guy either.

Is deciding my mother's "needs"

But I know from her priors

One nation
On this planet
That does not incarcerate
These tepid, uninspired dreamers
Would have us believe
In a vacuous plan, a cure
For social ills

To wonder if
You could get
To the top
Of Mt Everest
To wonder if
We could get
To our cosmic
Night light
To wonder if
We could get
To the
Red planet
Those dreams
Are good
They push
Human limits
Yet the anchor
On our species
Is a "dream"
In childish fantasy
It presumes
A utopia
Where only they
Are the winners
And worse
Not based
On observation
But feelings and tribalism
They too
Say it is ok to dream
But what they "dream"
Is of cartoon endings
The dreams
That make progress
Are not tribal or fictitious
Or label dependent
They need not
Of ancient myth
But that of reason
In observation

These are delusions
Not to be proud of
Not to be worshiped
Not to be revered
A "dream" in reality

The common term
For those who "see"
Is that of "prophet", or "messiah"
Polytheism, long before
In many cultures
Had their "seers"
As well
In a riveting play
From the first page
This oracle
Said to Oedipus

His hubris responded

But as the page turned
His point of view
Slowly revealed
The vile truth
In the end

As the flawed human

Of the millennia
When I was married
We fancied a pet
At the time

So we adopted

And took the kitten

The giraffe has a nerve
That starts at one ear

An unseen bacteria
Can infect a healthy person

This poem was inspired by the bullshit "reverse discrimination" white guilt excuse people who are not racist use but also use to ignore the issue. After the Zimmerman verdict some people argued about a story where 3 blacks were accused of murdering a white waitress claiming "Why isn't this getting national attention". This is nothing but selection bias and sample rate error. I watch the news every day, I hear more stories about white kids and white women being kidnapped and murdered, but the reality is that blacks are much more likely to be victims of murder. If any white person says "I am not racist", PLEASE STOP, instead of doing that, TALK TO YOUR BLACK FRIENDS AND CO WORKERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS, they will tell you the reality. Don't pay lip service to equality, OPEN YOUR FUCKING EARS AND LISTEN!
You can bring up a white waitress being murdered by 3 blacks and I can bring up Temar Boggs saving a white girl with nothing but a bicycle. And I can ask the same question "Why isn't Boggs making national news?"

To avoid what goes on
Every day

She could have been
Christian

Now make no mistake folks, I still hate superstition. I still find all claims of god/s absurd. I know they are merely human inventions and mental placebos. But when I think of history, and that of our species desire to be free from oppression, the labels may change and powers may shift over time, but I do know how to support human compassion, as do most atheists. We have had a long history of support of human rights and value progress and equality.

This poem is making the connection of mythological "prophecy" and currently held religions who truly believe in others who predict the future through reading holy books or believe in the writers of the holy books as if "prophecy" is real at all. "Prophecy" is fine in fairy tales and fiction, but only as FICTION. They are deadly when people read fiction and claim it to be fact. If someone hears voices or claims to "see the future", they are in reality con artists or mentally ill.
However, in the Greek mythology "Cassandra" is scapegoated and cursed by the male god Apollo, funny how the god of Abraham makes Eve the scapegoat.
Cassandra was given the "gift" of hearing the future by Apollo. But when she refused his advances he cursed her so that no one would believe her prophecies. So she was doomed to a life a pain knowing the future demise of Troy her own family and even her own demise.
EDIT....I just realized what a horrible story this is. Sure it paints Cassandra as the tragic heroine. But where is the real anger in the story that should be aimed at Apollo for being such a fucking dick?

Two matchsticks a light
As fire fighters
Ascend
In futility
Trapped above
The desperate
Choose
Between fire and flight
The horror
Planned in years
Was born
In antiquity
Thank you Allah
For all your love
Led to that day
And that choice
Thank you Jesus
For watching
While gravity
Took their lives
Thank you
Yahweh
For your
Petty rivalry
Bugs hit the windshield
And you'd stupidly claim
That religion
Is good?
Thank you for peace
Thank you for love
Thank you religion

We are cleaver aren't we
Skyscrapers
And massive
Cities
We'd like to think
We are masters
When all we are
Are passengers
And the rocks
In the city park
That represents
Human triumph
Gouges and cuts
Tell the truth
Of our
Existence
At one time
In earth's past
Ice covered
That iconic island
Twice the hight
Of the Empire State building
Should serve
As a reminder
The deposits
And gouges
Of ice
Carving into rocks
Should send us
A vital message
That we are on a ride
Not in charge
The gouges
And groves
In the rocks
In Central park
Should serve lesson
To our importance
Our species is not
An empire

A god to exist?
I am not asking
What you claim
Your god
Says
It seems to me
With everything
That has transpired
A g/G/od
A god looks
Exactly like
The tribes
Who proclaim them
It seems to me
A god looks like
The whims
Of humans
It seems to me
That the same pain
And triumph
Have existed
Have existed
And would exist
Without
Your claimed god
I am asking you
Why you want
A God
To exist
I ask why
Because he seems
To be dividing us
And blaming us
I ask why
You'd want
Such a prick
To exist
I ask why you don't consider
That g/God are
Mere reflections
Of human's desires

A movie theater
Texas cafeteria
Pop pop pop

Tic tic tic
Suicides and murder
In the next 24 hours
34 more will die
The doctor in DC
Got it absolutely right
"I want you to
Put my trauma center out of business"
Pop pop pop

Rights are not the issue
It is the flooded market
Follow the money
Follow the greed
This is about profit
Not Constitutional rights
Pop pop pop

Another Navy Yard
Will happen somewhere else
Another city boy
In a body bag
Another school child shot
Another spouse murdered
Never a good time?
Then when?
Because I myself

And spotty record
Blindly
They exalt him
Despite his record
Even when he
Blames it on them
The perfect con
Rig the game
To serve
Yourself
Selection bias
Sample rate errors
Self centered mind
Is the recipe for a god
Give it any name
Give it any atribute
Make any excues
You can
The believers
Of all labels
Falsely claim
We say we are gods
Never considering
The third option
There is no god
AND WE ARE NOT GODS

Of sages and soothsayers
Of prophets and prognosticators
Who merely rely
On their own desires
This is a ride
A finite ride
To which there is
No transfer
It bothers you
Doesn't it?
That you are not
The reason
It bothers you
Doesn't it?
That you
Are not special
We may keep records
Of our triumph
But the universe will erase it
And continue on
Then when of this
Those dare to speak
Our ordinary existence
Children throw petulant tantrums
With guns and glee
Of false decree
Of foolish martyrs
Who cannot see
The vastness
The scope
Our futile thrashing
For false hope
And Sagan
Comes along
And shows us
Real humility
Specks are we
Arrogant and blind
To our place
Of which we ignore
So we talk
Of glory and war
Of religious battles
That produce gore
Mutilation
Based on superstition
Is far to happy
To fill the coffins

On a early June Day
One year away
From "graduation"
The Newbies flood the line
Thinking they are smart
Thinking they are wise
Thinking they have the answers
Arrive to take the test
They take the eye test
Mistaking letters
Trying to spell
Yahweh, God and Allah
Then they take
The paper test
Asking how old
The earth is
Responding
To upside down triangle
Yellow must mean
"Yield to absurdity"
Then the road test
Speeding with fantasy
Cutting of reason
Praying to pass
What can the examiner do
But pass you
Otherwise
You'll kill them
But if the believer
Thinks
They have a licence
It is not in reality
How many people
Do you see
On the road
That make you scream?
Get in line
Take a number
The skeptic has seen

Where?
If having no locaton
And being everywhere
It would seem a contradiction
"I will protect you"
Is a hollow prospect
With 56 million deaths
Every year worldwide
But if you die
You get to be
With your fictional
Cosmic security guard
So then if this
Is the ultimate goal
Then your death
Is to be celebrated
Why mourn
Your demise
If after your death
You end up in a party?
Those who don't make it
Will you remember
In the clouds
With angels wings
If you do
How can pain
Exist
In this utopia?
If pain erased
In this afterlife
Then what are you
But a mere pawn
This cookie you offer
Is poisoned
With the promise
Of naked assertions
To have faith
In the invisilbe
Is to have faith
In selfishness

It's different
This says that
This other
Says this
They do this
We don't do that
They are violent
We are not
Our horseman
Had it right
The "parties of God"
Are the core of all
The only difference
Is our secular leash
That we in the west
Have benefited from longer
There is no unification
In the horrible motif
"Chosen people"
Which all partake
Inherently divisive
And even to this day
Has doctors murderd
And women's bodies held hostage
It is false to argue
Details and differences
When the core of them all
Sets up the same
The gangs of God
All want the same
Not peace through consensus
But demands of submission
Cherry picking
And watering down
Are the only reprieve
That allows room for moderates
But as Sam said
This cannot stand
For they give cover
To the jackals three
To say that Jews
Dont have zealots
To say that Christians
Don't have zealots
Is a presumption
That festers
And allows
This bane on human existence
In every book
One can find
Justification
For tribalism
These comic books three
Have their names
Torah, Talmud,
Or OT
Bible and Koran
Still they be
Like knife or gun
Weapons are thee
The fans of fiction
No mater the leash
Of the secular west
Will always be

A weapon
Because of that

Is a street gang

All outsiders
Will go to jail
And will not pass go
Delusions of Boardwalk
And Park Place
As if in reality
We are game pieces
I am no pawn
To gamble with
I am no prize
For either to have
The utilities of reason
Missing from the board
Railroaded by fantasy
The money all fake
The bearded man
And guy with pitchfork
Battle over our neurons
As if we were prizes
The truth is of all this
Neither heaven or hell

And chance is all we have
