some clarification

I have argued against gay rights in my past blogs but I would swear on a stack of dictionaries that I don't hate gay people. I also don't consider anyone "guilty" for loving whoever they love.

You just don't think they should have equal protection under the law. I have to say, I agree with you. Point of fact, I'm hoping that congress will pass similar restrictions on the rights of blacks and women. They're getting pretty "uppity" these days; need to put those lower life forms in their place.

So I dig that you don't hate gays, I don't hate blacks and women. I just don't see why they should have the same rights as I do Smiling

Sorry for getting uppity

Sorry for getting uppity lately.

Should I turn in my voter registration card now?  Should I make sure I do my job for less pay than a man would get?

And if I ever remarry, should I make sure everything is only in my husband's name?   After all, I'm not capable of handling money or having equal rights, like owning my own home.

These are all rights that women had to fight for.

It continues to confound me why anyone would want to keep two people who love each other ~ regardless of gender ~ from marrying.  It doesn't affect my life one way or the other.  It does, however, affect theirs in many ways.

If you don't hate gay

If you don't hate gay people, then what reasons do you have to attempt to deny them equal rights and protections as everyone else?
