I post all over the web, but I want a back up in case my computer or one particular website goes down.

I have decided to edit this post because I do not like giving people the wrong impression. I cannot read Shakespeare to save my life. I just remember this one line from act 5 scene 5 and put my own spin on it. I've had to explain this over and over so here I decided to put that in this post so there is no more presuming what I know or don't know. But the plot of MacBeth is the old lesson, you can have everything and nothing at all at the same time. And how did all that cruelty serve you in the end? But I do not like play summeries calling him a Nihisist, because it is possible to not do what he did, and accept life as being finite, and sitll have morals without religion. 

 

NEW EDIT 9/19/22 I got pissed at myself that I was scared to read MacBeth, so tonight, I forced myself to read it online. Now mind you, I did not understand it line for line, but basically Macbeth was an assdhole who murdered his way to the top, and did not believe the 3 witches prophcies. He murdered Duncan and had Banquo murdered. Banquo's ghost haunts Macbeth. And made the grave mistake of attacking McDuff's family and killing them(If I am reading this correctly) But Lady MacBeth has a guilty conscience and kills herself, upon finding out Macbeth basically says that life is not worth living and he should go down with a fight anyway, but refuses to fight  Macduff face to face and Macduff kills him as the hero. ( I SERIOUSLY read the entire play every line, tonight.  I even know where the famous line "double double, toil and trouble". comes from. The three witches, basically saying "look out Macbeth" your ass is in trouble. 

So basically the moral of the play, don't be a fucking asshole when trying to get to the top, or "the bigger they are the harder they fall". Reminds me of the movie Scarface and all the shitty things Tony did to get to the top and all for not. But Sosa in that case was not a good guy either.

To-deities, and to-gods, and to-God

Creeps in this petty tyrant from day to day

Until the extinction of humanity new ones will be invented

And all our yesterday's Gods have been created by fools

The way to tribal death. Out out brief myth

Claims are but a walking shadow, a poor reflection

That struts our narcissism upon the stage

And then is heard no more. It is a tale

Told by the credulous, full of sound and fury

Signifying nothing.

Almost was the case

Because of insurrectionists

Because of pandering to

White Nationalists

 

"You have to fight back"

"Take down names and kick ass"

Now it is time for

"Trial by combat"

 

"6 million Jews

Wasn't enough"

"Camp Auschwitz" imblazed 

On MAGA'S clothing

 

Rebel flags

In the Rotunda

"Hang Mike Pence"

And despite it all

 

The GOP 

Still gleefully

And unfortunately

Supports blind loyalty

 

We were 

Litterally

Less than a minute

Away from obscurity

 

And oh

The irony

It took a black cop

To distract the mob

 

Just long enough

To divirt the mob

From hanging

Mike Pence

 

Unfortunatly

Still all after that

The sycophants

Still in his lap.

 

What will it take

For of the right to awake

To do what Nixon's GOP

Would have done?

 

We've seen in history

What yeilds of blind loyalty

The notes of fascism

And authoritarianism

 

Your oath is not

To one man

But always to

The Constitution 

 

Even Teddy 

Said as much

I doubt anyone

Would call him a Communist

 

Of one, after arrested

After the 6th

A man accused 

Of threatening his kids

 

Of which he would kill

If the beans they would spill

Of mentioning his intentions

Being on Capital Hill

 

The fucking brat

On his way back

To the bed bug infested

Florida Resort

 

Is of scourched earth

Mentality

Has no real grasp

On reality

 

Thankfully

The constitution kicked in

And as of noon on the 6th

Of January

 

No longer can he

The orange bully

Terrorize the innocent

With his bombasity

I wanted to show who's boss

 

But now that I am gone

With my tail between my legs

I have scortched earth mentality

I will destroy everything

 

I have no empathy

Of those whom supported me

Of those who stormed the Capital

I did not pardon thee

 

And even of my VP

Pence did his job

But becuase I only care about myself

I made him a target of my mob

 

A lady owns a bar

That alows firearms

She walks through the halls of congress

Intimidating everyone

 

Then there is MTG

Stalking David Hogg

How is it his he the bully

For not wanting to get shot?

 

Squater45

Had a lot of help

Even before he ran

Fox was selling swill

 

And now Liz and Mitt

Are considard traitors

Because they realized

Some things are not worth it.

 

Is there any spine

Any lick at all

In the GOP

Augusta is not

The land of mini windmills

Where you can tap the ball

Into the cup, with a duck's foot

 

A "Big fat NO!"

We will not move on

The former President's incitement

Is not a muligan 

 

Incitement 

Of insurrection

Isn't excused with

"My bad"

 

Burning the candle

At both ends

"You cant indict a sitting president"

"You cant indict after they leave"

 

The green jacket

Isn't earned

By ignoring the rules

On the golf course

 

The Constitution matters

Not one man

There is no healing

Without accountability

 

The words of power

Of those in power

Have a bigger responsibility

As to not inflame 

 

Not one pardoned

By the madman

Of the layperson

Not of fame

 

Who followed him

With blind loyalty

Storming the Capital 

Expecting impunity 

 

Many of such

Now regret

Believing the madman

Now expecting a Mulligan

 

They bought his mini golf

Windmill utopia

Hyper nationalism

And scapegaoting

 

Beyond the sand traps

Beyond the water hazzards

140 police officers injured

And 3 of them dead

 

One from injuries

2 from suicide

And all survivors

A lifetime of PTSD

 

Is this the green

The GOP gleen?

To value a madman

To value cultism ?

 

The former President

Deserves not a Mulligan

This isn't just merely

Missing a putt

 

This on his part

Is the worst of the worst

A seat of power

Abusing our trust.

It seems to be

Beer Hall Salt

Officer Goodman bereaved 

 

The D.C officers of his skin tone

Despite protecting Pence

"Nigger" 45's supporters

Words they had thrown

 

Goodman seeing

Mitt trying to run

Warned him of

The incroaching mob

 

Goodman did

Do his job

The officers that day

Politics were not involved

 

But Rebel flags

And Holocoust images

And the support

Of white racists

 

Pepper pepper

Protected Salt

Because they knew

Our Republic was under assault

 

One officer 

Lost his eye

Two others

Comitted suicide 

 

One was flat out murdered

Beaten alive

With flag poles

And hockey sticks

 

And Goodman

Kept his composure

Leading the mob

Away from the chambers

 

He doesn't just deserve

A medal of gold

He deserves 

The Congressional Medal Of Freedom.

 

He wasn't in war

But deserves that of valor

All though not wounded

A Purple Heart in order

 

I know damned well

Knowing myself

His kind of bravery

Is not of me

 

I am not saying

I would not want to

I damned sure know

I would want to

 

But how many  of us

If we are being honest

Could do what Goodman did

In that moment of stress?

 

There is no other way to put it

Goodman fought racism

Facism, insurrection 

In that moment

 

He was the foil

To the Beer Hall Putsch 

A stark reminder 

Of what humanity fights

 

Against the calls

To blind loyalty

Against the calls

Of absurtity

 

That dangerously 

Lead to 

The mob

Mentality

 

Goodman deserves

Our full throated thanks

His quick decisions

That preserved our ranks

 

Mitt and Pence

And Pelosi too

Pepper defended Salt

And his honor is due.

As a species

We've always 

Found ways

To seek a means

 

To get on top

To beat the other

Pit children against

Every mother

 

To pit power 

Against power

All destroy

Those of under

 

The lemings of stress

The lemings of lack

The lemings of survival

Look up to the top

 

And that power

No matter its position

No matter its religion

Preys apon desperation

 

So when humans

Disagree 

All of thee above

Divide by decree

 

That if only

You blindly follow

Use pejoritives 

That ring so hollow

 

An attempt to rise

By knocking them down

Even if no crime

Is to be found

 

Pejoritives are

The bastion of desperation

Puffing up chests

No rational arguementation 

 

Pejoratives are

Words of a bully

Words of no substance

Of any meaning

 

But the false Maryters 

All end up hiding

Behind pejoratives

Always void of logic

 

Those of sane

Those of empathy

Do not care of politics

Religion, or nationality.

 

I will not lie

Or ever claim

I have no criticism 

Between of which I disagree

 

But there is one thing

I know to be true

All human beings 

Cannot continue

 

To use pejoratives

To declare war

On the only planet

All 7 billion of us do share

 

I cannot promise

To refain from harsh words

Or refrain from blasphemy

But one thing is sure

 

As long as I know

With those I discuss

With those who dissagree

But agree to trust

 

Our back and forth

Or raise voices

Our disagreements

We still have choices

 

That we fuss and we cuss

There is no utopia

But in our frey

Endless bodies

On the ground

 

A dead spouse 

A suicide

Accidental

The more cry

 

Thoughts and prayers

The endless carnage

Week after week

It always repeats

 

A sick skeet shoot

A carnival game

Of real flesh

We kill and mame 

 

And of delusion

Rambo logic

Dirty Harry

Holds all the cards

 

But of a house

Not of substance

Of delusion

A dangerous illusion

 

If more guns

Made us so safe

Then why is America

Number one in firearm violence?

 

San Ysidro 

And James Huberty

40 years ago

Still this new century 

 

Nobody is safe

When they go shopping

Or go to a nail salon

This needs stopping

 

I really thought

Newtown would do it

We'd put our foot down

But that didn't do it

 

Tasmania did so

It had had enough

It put public safety

Above a mere object

 

Since when is it a "millita"

So well regulated

When of machine guns

Bodies get ventilated?

 

If one wants

To go on a killing spree

Of no prior record

Is all you decree 

 

If you want

To murder the masses

If you want leave with a gun

In a mere 5 minutes

 

You can buy one

Like a hamburger

And on the same day

In short order

 

Make a public place

A meat grinder

Blood and guts

And lots of splatter

 

A movie theatre 

A concert

A public school

Who cares whom you hurt?

 

A hotel

A Walmart

For the industry

It is all about profit.

 

Suicides

Domestic violence

Accedental 

Destroy's innocence 

 

The Sunday Circular 

Is crimson red

The shopping cart

Full of the dead

 

But we rinse and repeat

Like Groundhog Day

No end to the carnage

Which has it's way

 

Those were not firecrackers

Or a backfiring car

That was not a heavy object

Dropped on the floor

 

It is a combat zone

Thrust upon us

A needless one

In every day life

 

The same excuses

Raise their voices

Now is not the time

We must allow mourning.

 

When is the time?

Please tell me?

When will this 

Cease to repeat?

 

I don't think you care

I think you buy fear

And I think the CEOs

Profits they hold dear.

What solution, 

Is ever final

To murder the innocent

Upon your arival?

 

A fucking pussy

Whom couldn't paint

Took his frustrations

Out on the innocent

 

Einsatsgrupppen 

And storm troopers

And his S.S.

Left masses in ditches

 

Dauchaue, Treblinka

Aushwitz, final solution

Lebensunwertz

Life unworthy of living

 

Juden

The braclets on

But today he is done

 

But it isn't the end

It is still happening

It is time for whites

To listen

 

It is our system

Of policing

It is our institutionalized 

Racism

 

Maxine waters was right

All of us need to fight

All zip codes and races

To bring sunlight to the night

 

For whites 

Whom don't understand

It is up to you to listen

There is something you are missing

 

Blacks can be viewed 

In this light

Like an abused spouse

Whose tired of this life

 

Living in fear you'll be beaten and kicked

Over minor things

Wondering if 

You'll end up dead

 

There was a time

In American history

An abusive spouse

Paid no penalty

 

Sometimes the abuse

Becomes too much

And they stand up

To demand it stop

 

Riots don't happen

Because blacks enjoy them

Anymore than your spose

Wants you to hit them

 

All three counts

Were a wake up call

White people shut up

And listen to them all

 

Blacks are

Our fellow humans

And all they want

Is your knee off their neck.

A barroom fight

Over a spilled beer

I looked at your girl

The fists are clear

 

Your missunderstanding

It's not what I meant

Of your hate

You won't relent

 

I don't look like you

Or share your politics

We share the same planet

Thus you forget

 

It seems to me

Of our species

This tribalism between us

Is hard to cease 

 

Do you like food?

I do too.

Do you like family?

I do too.

 

Do you have

A dog or a cat?

Do they lay next to you

Late at night?

 

Do you have kids?

You'd defend to the death

Why cant the world

Accept this as such?

 

That we are not much

That we are the same

And all of us want

To avoid harm?

 

Sick of the lables

That I am

No matter the geography

Or the religion.

 

I have a friend 

From Pakistan

Whom thinks like me

Though not raised the same

 

But his intuition

Just like this Yankee

We are all humans

No matter decree

 

I am sick of this fighting

In human twilight

When global warming

Is all that should fight

 

I could care less

Of your religious dress

Of your prayers

Anything like that.

 

I need to know

Where you stand

For selfish labels

Or all of mankind.

Lower taxes 

For billionaires

Trickle down

For 40 years

 

And what exactly

Is the result?

Of worker stability

Such mindset gutts

 

Dear Jeff

Please tell me

Why you need

Jungle money?

 

The Amazon

Needs human protection

Not your company

But the lungs of our planet.

 

Fuck your profits

Fuck your investors

Our species needs

To protect our forests

 

The false slurs

Of Communism

The false slurs 

Of Socialism

 

Being a liberal

Does not mean

We like the likes

Of Hitler or Stalin

As quickly as you deliver

I implore you deeply

To consider

 

Being on top

Isn't the issue

But how how you employ

The power you've aquired.

 

Nobody desires

To live in poverty

The masacre started 

With a white lie

A white girl 

Sold a lie

 

That a black man

Looked at her cross eyed

The white people of Tusla 

Made the city a pyre

 

Not because

He did anything wrong

But because

Black Wall Street was strong

 

Having it's own success

Made white Tulsa

Jealous 

And nervous 

 

It was an excuse

Long standing

For the insucure white majority

To continue killing

 

The Black Wall Street

Had no chance

White Supremacy 

Danced it's dance

 

Ropes and nooses

Firebomb busninesses

Biplanes and crop dusters

Drop dynamite on them

 

In 1921

That was the norm

To treat blacks as subhuman

Regardless of harm

 

A hundred years later

We still have the matter

Of assholes like Chaulvin 

And GOP denial

 

In that race

Is something to get over

When whites stupidly claim

We are far better over

 

No no, 

We still are stuck

In the racism that divides us

Needlessly stuck

 

It isn't enough

For whites to say

I wasn't arround

In that far day

 

We still are dealing

With racism today

Because of the gap

Whites do not face

 

It isn't enough

To look at Tusla

A hundred years ago

Then point to Obama

 

There still are

Inequities  

America will not

Ever relieve 

 

If we never never achieve 

The understanding 

Of a past

Let's flip a coin

Let's remember 

Whose on the soil

 

There's Imperialism

It's on the take

Kurgerrand 

Is head of the state

 

Half penny two penny

Go for the white

Such an impressive

Imperialist sight

 

White man 

Has to be

The only obvious

Currency 

 

Half penny two penny

Melt me down

A horned animal

Is my crown

 

Apartheid 

Did not last

Dispite all

Whites did test

 

The springbok

Surely much older

Occupying the land

For century's much longer

 

Is far more

Appropriate 

For Krugerrand

To suffer his fate

 

To accept

That life is unique 

And something 

For no one can speek.

Like the Fuhrer 

Had a scorched earth policy 

Demanded blind loyalty

 

To the death 

Not just of military

Demanded the same

Of civilians to calamity 

 

In the Pacific 

As Allies landed on the beach

They met resistance at first

But once the land was ceased 

 

The propaganda

From the mainland 

From Tojo

Made a fatal demand

 

Tell the captured

They were at end

To be raped and tortured

So fight to the end

 

And when the empire 

Could not be defended

Off of a cliff

So your life honorably ended

 

Over the brush

Over the boulders 

Over the cliffs

Holding kids on your shoulders

 

Fearing the Yankee

Listening to Tojo

Needlessly plummit 

To your death asshured 

 

Thus is the absurdity

Of all or nothing

That one race or nationality

Can dominate everything

 

But to say

It can't happen today

In the western white world

I am unfortunately sure

Whom advise her

To keep going on

Through all she's been through

There is an end

 

I've argued to no end

Fight, fight fight

Out of my own

Selfishness

 

I didn't want

To let her go

She had always been

My hero

 

But what right

Did I have

To demand she

Extend her life?

 

Independent 

To her last day

I could not tell her

What to say

 

It was in  horror

To watch her last breath

But I know 

In her death

 

She picked her own path

She did so with pride

As scared as anyone would be

She did so in stride.

 

This was a woman

This was a human

And don't tread on me

A narcissist

What did these

Other than

Above the clouds 

You did your bisiness 

Untill two jet liners became bombs

 

In your panic

In your distress

You reached out

For someone to help

 

The smoke and the flames

On the prestine day

You scowered and scurried 

Whatever way

 

The curcumstances 

Left you no choice

Die by fire

Or jump for more

 

If only 10 seconds 

Or so

Heat over 

The land below

 

It is not a choice

Anyone should make

But one forced on us

I think compassion

That the Democrat

And Republican

Know deep inside

Pets are family

 

Why is it with humans

We are willing to murder

Each other 

But save a pet?

 

You cannot tell me

Every fan in Miami

Voted for Biden

Or Trump for that matter

 

But when the feline

Was in danger

When it was about

To go splatter

 

None of 

Our dvisisions 

At that point

Did mater

 

The entire stadium 

Was distracted

Even it's anouncer

Soon reracted 

 

A cat in peril

Hanging by a thread

When it could hang on no longer

Was saved by the American flag.

 

It would be nice

Far less attention to the same missing

That happens to minorities of all sorts

 

Blacks, Latinos,

Native Americans

Don't get the same volume of attention

When they go missing

 

If Gabby had dark skin

And spoke in a broken language

If she was an immigrant 

Would she still get the same amount of attention?

 

All 7 billion humans

Are the same species

The majority of humans

All want the same thing

 

To live with out fear

And hold their children dear

See them succeed 

And hold them near

 

But there is inequity

That permeates society

That puts one demographic

Above all others

 

Having seen my late mother die

In a nursing home, of old age

No no, it is not the same

But pain is pain, no matter the way

 

I am not demeaning 

Her family's loss

But there is inequity

All should face

 

Gabby is due

The attention she's getting

To figure out

Who caused her end

 

But minorities do not

Get the same attention

When similar things

Happen to them

Nose down 

Spiral to the ground

Human arrogence 

Everywhere to be found

 

Clever we are

Such a species

To pin our hopes

On speed and greed

 

Shortcuts

To foster profits

Faulty sensor 

Faulty programing 

 

But this is one industry

Why can't the world see

That humans are not

Everything we claim to be?

 

Sure we are kind

And we can do good

And sure we make things

And provide food, 

 

But we are also very arrogant

Capable of unimaginable violence

And when profits give investors pride

Too often we sit in silence

 

It is plane to see

In human history 

That money talks

And the rest take head

 

7 hundred

And 37 reasons

To value redundancy

And safety regulations

 

I am fucking tired

Of "don't tax the rich"

"Don't regulate"

It makes them bitch

 

Like big oil

And big tobacco 

Like Nadar 

Had to tuss and toil

 

To get big business

To do the right thing

It is why they fixed

That jet plane.

 brian, our differences aside, the fact that you've kept up this creative output for so long...i can't lay claim to anything like that. keep it up, buddy.

Such fools, and lack of history

65 million years ago

A meteor 

Allowed mammals to succed 

 

Neanderthal

Got replaced by 

Erectus

Then Sapiens 

 

You selfish lot

You think that

The melinan

Makes you the dominate clan?

 

You stupidly think

Your geography 

And history

Gives you the crown of humanity?

 

Jews will replace you

Not because they are Jews

But because humans worldwide

Dont live forever.

 

I will be replaced

All 7 billion humans will

It is the cycle of life

As to which is all our fate.

 

So skip your bullshit hate

And understand our common fate

The more we fight as humans

The more we shorten our ride.

 

I don't care whom servives me

I don't care about their country or creed

About being dominate

To the superstitious

And those who believe in the divine

They say "rest in peace"

When they lose a loved one in time

 

What is "the big sleep"

To the atheist

Who accept reality

The end is all we meet

 

The fear of not existing

Is of futal folly

Like not watching a sporting event

Or not watching a movie

 

There are sports I never watch

Movies I have never seen

I don't know all the humans in the world

In our in our species history

 

I have not met all the dinosaurs

That have ever lived

I don't know every cat or dog

That have ever been your pet

 

There is no "big sleep" 

There is only reality

Like a plane taking off and landing

It is routine in nature's history

 

Why we really  fear

Is very very clear

We fear pain

And losing someone dear

 

Death is a reminder

Of human mortality

It drives us to try

To keep ourselves alive

 

But there are never winners

The house always wins

The reeper owns the casino

Nothing lasts forever.

 

The point of living

Isn't to live forever

The point to living

Isn't  to be clones of others

 

It isn't about 

Working 24 hours a day

It isn't about 

Power always having it's say

 

Heros and enemies 

That the world takes note of

Nature still has

Complete control of

 

The billions of unknowns 

Whom never take the global stage

In every nation, friend or foe

Are still on the same page

 

Stop talking about "the big sleep"

Stop saying "rest in peace"

Care for empathy and compassion

Now, before the reaper takes your last chip.

Nothing to be said

You couldn't say before

4 billion years ago

Before you were born

 

5 billion years from now

You will be just as silent 

Just as remembered

As a snowflake that has melted

 

Humans are conceted 

We think we are an apex

Some how still stuck on the Church of Galileo

And our self importance 

 

Humans are full of compassion

Full of empathy

The ability of kindness

And unfortunatly cruelty 

 

But that meteor 

That killed the dinosaurs 

It isn't a matter of "if" but "when"

Another will hit our home

 

If not that, 

Then by our own hand

Fighting over resources

Fighting over land

 

I am tired of the gods

And the mythology

Tired of global politics

That divide humanity

 

I've been on many a jet

With first class, and coach

And those 

Stuck in the back

 

On interntional flights

I see all kinds of tones

Different skin colors

Different shapes of bones

 

Different means

Anyone can tell

Someone with lots of wealth

And others scraping by, just to get home

 

That pilot's job

And that of the crew

Isn't to decide

Who gets by or who dies

 

In an emergency

In a disaster

Human beings 

Have a natural nature

 

If on your deathbed

No matter the context

If all you can think of

Is power and money

 

You are not 

Of humanity

You are missing

Human empathy

 

There is nothing to be said

About before and after

Both are the same

It is now that matters.

In the allies, on the grates 

Freezing weather they step over,

In the ward of the state

Locked away, a miserable fate.

 

Look at their faces

Deep into their eyes

They come from the same backgrounds

As you and I

 

They are not roaches

To be chased away

They are not pests

In any way

 

They are your teachers

Your former neighbors

Your parents, your kids

And everything else

 

You see the abandon

You ignore them

Because the reality

Is to real

 

To real to think about

That from your stable life

You can be 

Tossed about

 

Out on the street

Stepped over and ignored

Or become a ward of the state

Never to be heard

 

I am writing this

Because I am now broke

The corporate wolves

Will take me to court

 

They don't care if I live or die

They don't care if I can survive

The corporate wolves

On greed do thrive

 

In a month and a half 

I went from a retirment savings

To indenterd debt

For merely getting sick

 

Those bastards are cruel

And should be brought up charges

Put in prison

So they cannot harm us.

 

Sit on your Yahct 

Brag about your status

But your on the same boat

As the rest of us

 

You too

Will face your mortality

Regardess of your mansion

Regardless of your status

 

Your lack of compassion

Is poison to the world

Toss them out like garbage

The weak get purged 

 

I' do not envy you

Nor do I want to be like you

A bully, a coward, a exploiter 

Using and spitting out another and another

 

Then you blame them

For the society you built

The adictions, the desperation

And even just bad health

 

You are the face of evil

You deserve no respect

You talk about valuing life

But it is just that, all talk

 

Spare me your charity

It is fake and a con

All to excuse your glutney 

And it is a fraud.

The slot machines, the day trading

The mudslides, the tan and onyx 

Burning the spoon, tightening the hose

Around your arm, the vein exposed

 

Your frontal lobe 

In disorder

The pleasure center

You beg for more

 

No prison needed

Youre on death row

No call from the Governor

To stop it now

 

Hey Jack and Jim 

They're taking your shot

Doc's giving you the perscription

Untill it runs out

 

Did you get up this morning

And make your bed

Did you take a shower

Did you feed your pet

 

Is there a place

To keep you dry

Or are concrete and steam vents

Where you pitch your tent?

 

You are the greyhound

Who chased the rabbit

Forget about family

Feed your habit

 

The merry go down

Round and round

The ichy skin

No fix to be found

 

What is your pleasure?

The myriad menue

The poison desert

Your brain sold you

 

You're chasing lines

That of  chalk

A toe tag awaits

It won't be long

 

The promise of comfort

Just one more please

The jolly "friend"

Cares not that you scream

 

Organs ravaged

Relationships destroyed

The cause to forget

Drives you for more

 

And lack of empathy

Many do display

No one else is to blame"

 

I hope these types

Of this mindset

Never have to face

What many are trapped in

 

The lives you judge

Didn't start out that way

They are your neighbors

Co workers, family and friends

 

And skip the issue

That of class

It is a monster

That faces all of us

 

When your brain is held hostage

By an evil chemical

It can make you drink

It can make you gamble

 

Ciggarettes you've smoked

For years and decades

Cancer and emphysema 

A casket awaits

 

Don't look away

Don't vilify

Don't judge  

Don't demonize 

 

Slab food

You've become

This refrigurator 

Is your new home

 

They crack you open

And weigh your lungs

Examine your liver

Kidneys and brain

 

It matters not

How dimise makes it's entrance 

It matters not

How you make your exit

 

Until you are in it

You cannot know it

You cannot defeat it

With simple slogans

 

Will is a myth

The brain is real

The pleasure center

Beyond ripened vines

The decaying fruit falls

On soil death dines

 

Wrinkled skin

Mushy flesh

They cannot save you

To make another dish

 

They toss you aside

As to where they cant see

The bruses you have

Fallen from the tree

 

Gravity cares not

On the ground you'll rot

The bystanders make pie

And others make chutney 

 

Marmalade and lemonaid

You might become 

Before you're invisible

Stowed away  then gone

 

In a pantry 

Beyond it's kill date

Still hanging around

For no one to see

 

The storage unit

You live in

Dust collects

On everything

 

Mason jars 

With faded labels

Contents discolored

You get discarded

 

But not to worry

You still have friends

Grab bar in bathroom

Walker gets you to bed

 

The risen seat

Above your throne

You don't have to fall

Or break a bone

 

But how empty

Is your phone

No messages left

It makes for better sales

After every major event

The shops open their doors

This is uniquely American

To give an object rights

As if

It were living

She hid in the fridge

The easy access to terrorize

And the real crime

The ultimate ugly

None can tame

 

Irrational fear

Irrational hope

Denial the drug

Leads to false comfort

 

You cant escape 

This inevitable spouse

Out of the house

 

But do not fret

In a hurry

 

Just like a good book

Or a good movie

They too end

In time's flurry

 

Forever is not

To whom we're betrothed

I hear liberal humanists say

"I worship Satan

Because he is ok"

 

They claim 

He doesn't hurt anyone

Just enjoy life

But your burning is never done

 

They're in it 

Together

Just like Superman

Needs a Lex Luthor

 

Just as a Mafia boss

Wants protection money

If you don't pay it

His enforcer is on the way

 

They're in it together

Lucas is the God

Obi Wan, Yoda

And Aniken 

 

Lucas created 

Darth Vader

And Emperor

Palpatine

 

The protagonist

Needs the antagonist

Just like a rigged casino

Game

 

And Lucifer

Devil and Satan

Are the corrupt players

The dealer gives them signals

Everywhere you go

Stop in and grab one

The shops will never say no

 

No recored 

At time of buy

3 hours later

Kiss them all goodbye

They all lie

Doctors in the morgue 

From an easy buy

Easy access

Is their plan

 

Olympic sized bloodbath

Isn't it grand

To arm everyone

Throughout the land

 

Duck and cover

In the classroom

Just like in the cold war

Drill the kids some more

War zone teachers

From Rambo's plan

 

Replace the pencils 

Focus on books

Ban the wrong things

Hey, that library looks good

 

For a target

Practice I will

Make you scramble

Make you shrill

I write these prose

When I grab my pen

Normally I do not write my poems for songs. BUT, I was looking at this, and thinking if anyone wanted to put it to a thrash metal, Metallica style, but with a female lead singer,  I would love to hear what people come up with. Only thing I would ask is that I am given credit for the lyrics and beat, still open to tweeking of course. 

The beat would go something like this....

(for the "murder murder, on demand" sung by the lead singer)

You get pissed

Someone cut you off

 

Music too loud

You knock on their door

They won't turn it down

So it turns into war

 

Your partner

Talks back to you

Hate being insulted

Says "we're through"

 

You left it out

Kids want to play

You say "don't touch"

It doesn't work that way

 

You always claim

You know what you're doing

"It won't happen to me"

Listen to what you're saying

 

Once it leaves

At that speed

Hits human flesh

The dead don't speak

 

If you survive

It's PTSD

A lifetime of fear

Never going outside

 

Check your pride

That mythology

"Nothing bad

Will ever happen to me"

It isn't what you think

It's your insecurity

Oh lucky us

2 trillion galaxies

So you can 

Confound us

 

And how clever

Are you 

Rittle a kid with cancer

Just so humans can glorify you

 

And isn't covid grand

Black death

And other infections

Wiped out many a land

 

Oh no you say

He's just testing us

But isn't there 

A better way?

 

Silly me

I thought a test

Was what you took in school

To get a job and nothing more

 

It is my punishment

Is that what you say

No, it is an act of revenge

When you cant get your way

 

But you love me

That is why you do it

Submit out of fear

Is that all there is too it?

 

This house you made us

Is rife with danger

Death is chasing us

At every corner

 

I am sorry

But if I needed a baby sitter

5 mass extinctions

In 4 billion years

And only 1% of all life

Is still living here

To base one's life

On old mythology

 

The factory floor

Always drenched in blood

All to please you

We'll sacrifice our sons

 

The only good thing

About any of this

In 5 billion years

Humans won't be missed. 

 

No one around 

To be remembered

Frend or foe

To be dismembered 

 

Maybe it's past time

To ditch the notion 

There was a divine power

Who set this in motion?

To accept our capacity

To be compassionate

And display great cruelty

Nature isn't magic

Both good and bad

We make our choice

As a species

Of bad claims we divorce

The wonder and pain

Of Ahoritarian gods
