Atheist vs. Theist

XIRKTHIA'S WAGER

As a DEVOUT THEIST. Here is MY WAGER to ATHEISTS.

If there is no Hell, and no Heaven.

Then don't believe in them.

If there is a Hell, and a Heaven.

Then don't believe in them.

If there really is none --- then you'll be dead and won't even know your dead, and so you won't care none.

If THERE IS and you GO TO HELL --- well then that's a step up from what you DID BELIEVE.

That's why I don't believe in Heaven and Hell.

Because if there is --- at least I'll get something better than expected.

God works in mysterious ways

Sure he does.  I'll give you a few examples:

Someone who lives a lonely life, goes to work every morning has a car accident on his way to work. His car burst into flames. He is trapped inside. Next thing he knows, he is at a hospital, disfigured, crippled, scarred, unemployed, and with hospital bills skyrocketing.  His life is ruined.

On the other side of the world, there's Amin Bubu Rahal, dictator. He has led the people of Urugasir with an iron fist, killing 300,000 people to preserve his power, and enjoying all the women and all the wines he wants.

Except for definitions cited

Theism does not necessarily imply, nor is it defined as faith or irrationality per se, or as something that cannot be scientifically proven, and/or obvious to be true. But rather, such implications and "definitions" should be viewed as simply a modus operandi of the status quo, or at least the satus quo as realized. Though dictionaries may differ in defining theism, the following should be universally permitted to an extent, and ab origine of the dictionary to be considered due to possible bias or illogicality:

What's more probable?

A simple thing having always existed?

A complex thing having always existed?

And why?

Not the same question as "A simple thing popping into existence? A complex thing popping into existence?"

(Background: I'm watching some interview between Dawkins and some other guy.. so the question sort of formed.)

I have a theory

I find the majority of people that would like to get rid of religion completely are the ones that live in the more fundie parts of the world. (Bible belt U.S) etc... They may not know what it's like to co-exist peacfully with religious folks. However, people who have no objection to religion are the ones that grew up in more moderate parts of the world (Canada, Sweden) etc.... and see no reason why religion cannot co-exist with society.

Main point. It all depends on your experiences.

evolution or creation

Does it really matter whether all living things evolved or were created? What difference does it really make? Does it matter that a growing number of intelligent people chose to live their lives without the added baggage of religion?or evolution ,athiesm ?How does that affect the individual and their right to make up their own minds? You like religion?athism ,evolution? Good for you! I don't have one damn use for it. What do you care? Should you? Should I? Who cares? Get it? Nobody should care.

Our great advantage in living TODAY rather than in those mean old dark ages is that we can believe what we want without fear of punishment. A person's thoughts and beliefs are free and not subject to anyone's judgment.

Dawkins v. McGrath Debate

Interesting debate between Alister McGrath (molecular physicist and theologian) and Richard Dawkins.

What did I do?

All of my posts are deleted or moved.

I presented my case for "No Free Will".

Obviously, no theist would do that. For theist there is heaven and hell. There is punishment and rewards. No Free Will implies no punishment or reward.

So, why my threads were rremoved?

For

Conclusion: Some atheists' have Faith, Dictionary vs. Logical Definition, Altruism, Brain Wash vs. Understanding, No Free Will

(Mod edit - moved to Atheist vs. Theist)

Conclusion

Warning/Alert: English is my second language. I beg your accommodation.

I am not trying to look down or insult anyone. I am merely testing my understanding. I will learn from your feedback.

How to lose faith!

Today was a day I needed to do some deep thinking. The direction I took seemed at first to have no cause, but when I reached the end of this initial superficially spontaneous procedure I was exalted by fundamental understanding.

I was already aware of an unfathomable need to understand the preternatural. So this is where my considerations lay. Yet I was also hungry!

So in no way was I able to avoid the line of thought i took:

1. transcendental

2. food

ergo Pi!

This is the kind of coincidence that begets revelation and makes known the true nature of schema!
