Here Kent Hovind is show saying how he expects a cometary impact to 'flash freeze' mammoths. A simple piece of maths later shows that far from freezing the mammoths they would be vaporized, not only that, but most the surface of the earth would have been 'turned to fire'. This really does show how creationists simple dont have the first idea about science and simple to not have the academic stature to enter the intellectual arena.

Here Kent Hovind who is currently serving a 10 year jail sentence for tax fraud firstly claims that natural selection was the cause of the Columbine shootings and Hitler and Stalins genocides, he then goes on to claim that natural selection is 'gods' quality control.

I meant to write this up a while ago...

My wife and I traveled to Ecuador for two weeks and one thing we noticed in our guide book was La Capilla del Hombre ("Chapel of Man"), a Humanist chapel in the hills overlooking Quito.

A little history...

The Chapel was conceived by a man named Oswaldo Guayasamín. He was an Ecuadorean painter and sculptor who gained international recognition for his works depicting the emotions of the history of South America. They run the gamut from the pain of Spanish conquest, to exploitation by industries, to simple "working a living out of the earth to survive" dedication (whose name I can't quite think of at the moment), to the love and caring that radiate despite these things. It's been said that his work helped bring catharsis to many by exposing racism, poverty, and social injustice.

Chemical Evolution

For the rest of the month I will be posting on a regular three a week schedule, I may continue this trend next month, we'll see how it goes. So on every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday the newest editions will be up. Some of you may have noticed the counters at the bottom recently, with that I've been keeping track of how many and what days readers have been loging in to read the newsletter, and the aforementioned days seem to be the most popular, counts on Friday and Sunday being especially high. However, the reason for the newly placed regularity is two-fold. The other reason is to better manage my time, since I will be going on vacation from the 27th to the 5th, and there is much to do in the interum in preparation. In the time I will be gone, there will be no newsletter posts (I'm sure you can all manage, lol) so I encourage you all to browse through the previous editions, as I'm sure there are many of you who haven't seen them all. While I'm gone, any questions, contributions, or comments you have will be fielded by my good friend and helper Adrian (a.k.a. Skeptictank, a.k.a. Freudian slip n' slide). Regulars to the chat room are probably familiar with him already.

That's the same errors as estimating the distance between the Earth and the Moons is less than a millimeter.
